I call for an appointment,I already went to a appointment to establish service keep in mind yes it was over a year ago but I did it,I call and was told the doctor don’t see sick patients what a joke but he would call me to do a phone visit I asked what time and was told between the time he gets in and leaves,ok can you narrow that down a little she said no because he is not in yet, then they call back a hour later to say they are uncomfortable with a phone visit also because it’s been over a year since I been in,humm thanks for nothing
Now I just have to suffer because I won’t get another doctor until I go to a well visit to establish service again,so in short they are beyond useless they actually make it worse then if you never even went there at all.I mean what kind of doctor don’t see sick people? Newsflash that’s your job! That’s literally the reason people call you, imagin your mechanic refusing to work on your car when it’s broken.$700 a month for a Florida blue plan that I can’t even use this clown is the problem with the health care industry.and from the rest of the reviews I guess it’s a blessing it happen now not if I was sick with something serious.

Dr. Young is very thorough and knowledgeable. The wait time is usually an hour, however, that is what you should expect for a physician that is not part of a physician practice where you usually are seen by a PA or ARNP.

My first appointment with the office - waited one hour and fifteen minutes to get out of the waiting room - front desk assistant berated me because they spend hours looking for my file "even dragging boxes down from the attic" as if somehow, me being a new patient to the office and them not knowing was my fault. The assistant who entered my history into the computer sat with her back to me the entire time, shouting out questions. She asked me very elementary questions that any medical office staff should know, and proceeded to google - she read WebMD pages to get the terminology (I suppose anyway) to enter in the computer. She took my BP - very high. Doctor Young came in, checked my BP manually, and found it to be on the high side, but not as high as the assistant said. She was rude, and not knowledgeable. He put me on medication and advised I should come back in a week for a BP check - the other assistant, slightly more knowlegeable but just as unfriendly shoved some paperwork at me and said "if you can get a physical appointment, get these labs done, if you can't, don't". I managed to get an appointment the following Wednesday middle of the workday (you need to work around their schedule, they don't accomodate working folks here). I show up, again waited and waited. Taken back to get a chest xray? Never in 55 years, have I had to have a chest xray at a physical. I am a non/never smoked. Same assistant from the previous week comes in - can't get an EKG hook up right - goes and gets the other unfriendly assistant, they continue to try, and fail to get a good hookup for an EKG, took the best that they could get, and left two copies for the doctor. He glanced at them for half a second when he finally comes in the room. They had called me earlier in the day and asked if I could come in early - mid morning - because they had two cancellations - mind you they called my husband not me. I couldn't due to work commitments...and because they wanted to end their day early, I was given the bum's rush out the door. I had to remind the doctor to check my blook pressure manually! He didn't go over my family history, didn't ask me about any concerns I had with my overall health, didn't even check reflexes. My husband's first experience was very different - he said he was very thorough, so I am certain my rushed treatment was because I was their last appointment and they wanted to get out early. He read my lab results to me, looked in my ears, nose and throat and diagnosed me with allergies (which I've never had such a diagnosis in the past). I asked them to add estrogen/progesteren levels to my lab work (since I was getting blood drawn anyway) they said no - your Gyn will order those tests (I don't have one, now I need to find one).
The whole experience was frustrating and I will not be going back. Since I am new to the area, I am asking around for references of doctors that treat you with care.

Very thorough doctor. Spent an hour with me doing a physical. Next visit was follow up care and he also spent quite a lot of time going over my results and future care.

I had a very good experience with this doctor. I do not care if he is my friend, I only want my physician to concentrate on my health and doing a good job by me and my health. I have enough friends.

This Dr is different. I had tracked a little bit of dirt in the exam room he was passing didn't realize he was the Dr poked his head in asked me to take my shoes off explained how I would ruin his vinyl floor told me to put them back on once I was outside. Went absurd when I asked him if Ins would cover mammogram told me it is a $65 x-ray fee isn't it worth it to know if I will live for another 6 wks... Don't recommend him!

I saw dr Young for the first time last week. I found him to be very helpful and through. He did recommend that I do a complete physical. I have never had a primary care physician do such a through job. The office staff was great the front desk was very helpful in scheduling my referrals so that I knew where and when I needed to go. they also took care of doing my lab work and xrays right in the office. I found that to be very convenient.

My husband saw this Dr. Young once for a second opinion and was considering changing his current primary doctor of 8 yrs. however, when my husband had a catastrophic illness strike him down the day after he saw Dr. Young, this doctor's reaction was not only unprofessional, it was inhumane! He is arrogant, unprofessional and should not be practicing medicine! Although my husband fired him from his hospital bed he had the nerve to send him a letter of termination! He also called my husband's hospital room at 11 at night after we had finally by the dr on call because Dr. Young does not do hospitals, got his pain managed after all day in pain! He called my husband to tell him he was on vacation in Key West and that he, my husband, knew he had lung cancer and needs to stop chain going drs!!! What doctor that has taken the hypocratic oath would ever do that to someone?! There was no diagnosis indicating this! He told a man that was alone in a hospital that he had lung cancer!! He is evil!
