Had seen him before he had his own practice, he used to be good and personable. Staff is condescending and rude. He is all for the very $$$ tests that only matter if you are rich, as insurances won't cover them. He is all for pushing big $$ "cosmetic" crap. He apparently has no problem going to CA and where ever often. His NP Louis was awesome! She left also. Probably sick of his narcissistic crap. His practice is now that "pay to be your dr" crap and I declined. He has an arrogance only parallel to a narcissist. He became way too off from the "wanting to help" score years ago. Go to him if you are some uppity that wants Restolyn or some of that other injectable garbage. Surely not for a caring and kind dr or staff!

I really Like Dr. Patel. But unfortunately there is a huge line of miscommunication with his p.a!! Confidentiality was breached in my case.. I do not like p.a's discussing my case in the hall way with M.A's and other staff members.. My appt. was not with this certain pa and she took it upon herself to discuss my case with M.A in the hallway where I could hear all that was said. And if I could hear other patients could too!! I am considering contacting bomex and filing a a grievance! I feel hippa was was breached and this certain p.a should have to answer for this.. I walked out of office and skipped my appt. I will never return.. I also had to wait 45 min. and I feel this is way too long.

Dr Patel is very knowledgeable, and goes beyond the extent of most other doctors I have been to in order to clarify the patient's medical issues. He ordered tests that were more complex than ordinary and were very costly. I had to call multiple times to get the results of my last ones and no one went over them with me except the person I spoke to on the phone. His staff is rude and seemed careless - it took a long time to get a referral and I was given one that was rejected by my HMO after the fact. My costly labs were apparently coded incorrectly and were also rejected by my HMO. Dr. Patel has now converted his practice to a concierge type practice and I have declined to participate due to the cost and the fact that his office staff caused me so many problems.

I had a later appt for a concern over STD. When I arrived the blood tech was leaving shortly and wanted me to decide whether to get the blood test through them (since I was paying cash) or through an outside clinic. I put it off because I wasnt even sure I had an STD which is why I went in the first place. I wanted to wait til after I spoke with a doctor and THEN decide. They took my urine sample and without telling me how much it was going to cost ran those results. I had NO IDEA that that test was $170 and I would NOT have had it done if someone had told me! Turns out all I had was a simple yeast infection. They #1) should have asked me about the test beforehand and #2) once I had spoken with the doctor, given me the choice not to run the test! Im not sure I will return. The doctor is also not able to see everyone he is so busy now, so he apparently doesnt need my business anyhow.

I really like Dr. Patel. His front desk could use a little help but overall I would not change doctors.

I was a patient of Dr. Patel for 10+ years and then I followed him to his new practice. I was very satsfied with Dr. Patel and Lois. Unfortunately his front office staff is very rude. They are always inaccurate when it comes to the billing. If you question anything they get upset and are very condescending towards you. They care more about the money than they care about their patients. I wouldn't recommend this practice to anybody until they make changes to their front office.

I never saw Dr. Patel. I did see Lois Henderson and she was great. Extremely helpful and nice. However, I finally had to change providers. I have never been treated so rudely by a front office staff. Every time I went in there was another problem. The last straw was when they neglected to communicate with me about test results that I needed to have and then were completely rude to me when I questioned being charged. I did like Lois, however, there are a lot of doctors out there and would prefer to be able to count on the front office to be organized, knowledgeable and friendly. At this office they are not!
