Dr. Romac is awesome. He's taken care of me, my husband, our daughter (now 5) since she was born and my 85 year-old mother with dementia. His diagnoses are always spot-on and he takes the time to talk to you about what is going on and what could be causing it. He's always called us back, tells a bad joke most times you see him, and can quickly shift from one patient to another, providing whatever attention that patient needs at that time. He's empathic when he needs to be and stern if he has to be.

I came upon this site while looking up Family Health Care Center's phone number. I noticed one unfair review. The writer complained that she had to fax Dr. Romac several times before she could obtain a written prescription for an "over the counter" medicine that her hospitalized mom wanted. The medicine Dr. Romac was being asked to write for - is so common, benign and easily obtained that the request wasn't given "top" priority on a particularly hectic day. When the prescription was not immediately forthcoming the reviewer embarked on an unusually energetic effort to obtain the written script. She was subsequently invited over at once to pick up the written prescription. Apparently, a note, included with the script, asked if the patient's health care facility required a written prescription for Kleenex - appropriate! I'm an adult with 7 children and 6 grandchildren - We all consider Dr. Romac the best of the best. An intelligent, personable, caring Physician. BT out-of-space.

extremely disrespectful and inappropriate when speaking with us about our mothers health. Most upsetting is the disrespect he has show the health care professionals in the assisted living facility she is now living in. This adult health care facility requested a prescription for nasal spray - they are required by law to obtain prescriptions for administering even over the counter drugs. They had to send this request over and over. Only after explaining the laws they have to work under. Dr. Romac finally faxed the proper paperwork. He also included a personal question to the health care professional requesting the prescription, "do you need a prescription for Kleenex too". His diagnoses have been proven wrong by 2nd opinion testing. We have changed to a different practic.
