I have been a patient of Dr. Alex Khadavi for about eighteen years. I saw him this week for a distressing medical skin problem on my face. It's only been a couple of days and it is clearing up after I had been struggling with it on my own. I am so happy. The experience of things being resolved quickly has always been the result when I have gone to Dr. Khadavi. He is very experienced and knowledgeable and caring. People on his staff were very professional and friendly. Great experience. I recommend.

Dr khadavi gave me a lip injection and immediately after threw himself on me telling me that the injection was free if we had some "quick fun" When I denied him he became very aggressive and verbally abusive. I have made complaints with the medical board. I was also advised that by the board that he has many complaints that involve botched procedures by woman who have had severe medical issues. This doctor is a female predator. Be aware if you are a woman

My 79 year old mother went in to see Dr. Alex Khadavi 6.28.17 at 16260 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91436 for a skin cancer check and was up-sold on what he called a “much needed” varicose vein procedure. My mother couldn’t give "Informed Consent" as she is mostly deaf and in early stage cognitive decline, also they have her / my medial POA in the office AND I was in the waiting room waiting for her. They never came to get me, to ask me, to talk to her. NO pre-operative directions were provided as it was NOT planned, and NO post op instructions were given leaving my mom at risk of infection or even death from possible blood clots as you DO NOT do this procedure on a woman her age... nor do you do it in 15 minutes, in a laying down position, nor do you use the solution we believe he used, nor do you let a person leave without wrapping their legs in compression garments. My mom was then charged $450 on the way out, although she is Medicare and has a PPO back up she was told insurance wouldn’t cover procedure, which she was NOT told in advance... BUT the office filed and were then paid by her insurance then refused to refund her, which is medical fraud. COMPLAINT WITH AETNA / MEDICARE # G-17240837349 CLERK ERIN B. # A-105822

My mom's ankle area which was injected (note this is an area never to be injected due to lack of blood flow and risk of infection see links attached), opened up a few days after the procedure with a large gaping HOLE, of dead necrotic tissue, bleeding and swelling. We called the office over several days as this got progressively worse for my mom and were told to “put some Neosporin and a Band-Aid on hole” for a week, then come back and see doctor. On 7.8.17 the nurse saw my mom for brief visit with the doctor, he ended up doing the “bandied and Neosporin”, said it will be fine during 5-minute visit! I had to take her to ankle and foot specialist for several treatments from 7.06 - 7.20.2017 but her ankle got progressively worse and worse, so he sent us to Hyperbaric Oxygen 1125 S Beverly Dr #405, Los Angeles, CA 90035 from 7.30.17 - 8.05.17 and the non-wound healing center for specific care at Cedars Sinai Hospital 8.3.17 - 9.13.17. The doctor remarked that she never should have had this procedure done let alone in her ankle area and that Dr. Khadavi was negligent in her pre-post op care and responsible for her injuries!!! It took 5 months and its almost healed, but the pain, inability to drive and expense for a procedure that any competent doctor would have at referred her to a medical specialist if he felt it was necessary, let alone her out of pocket is somewhere between negligence and malpractice.

LINKS TO WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE, OR NOT DONE, NOTING HER AGE AND BAD OUTCOMES IF ITS DONE INCORRECTLY. (NOTE: NOT THE PRACTICE WHO INJURED MY MOM)

Dr is very knowledgeable, however he constantly runs behind...30 to 60 mins sometimes. His front office is completely incompetent, they have no information or any updates as to why the doctor is so backed up

Dr. Khadavi is, by far, the best Dermatologist that I have seen. He is aggressive and thorough. His bedside manner is second to none always taking time to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I have referred numerous friends to Dr. Khadavi and all have been very thankful for the referral. One of the best Doctors in his profession.

He's really busy but he gets the job done. He knows exactly what he's doing and will do it quickly. I went with him for a difficult rash after seeing 3 other dermatologists and he knew what it was on the spot.
