Dr. Meyer delivered my second at Good Sam. HORRIBLE experience. She argued with the neonatologist about apgar scores. She preceded to tell me that if my son was given a 5, his birth would be investigated. So they gave him a 6. She told me that she was a new neonatologist and didn't know what she was doing. 6 week check up thought she would be nicer, nope! Horrible doctor, I still have nightmares about my experience.

My appointment was at 9:30am and I finally saw Dr Meyer a little before 11am. She was worth the wait. Dr Meyer asked me to tell her about my situation and concerns. After my exam, we spent over a half hour discussing options. (when was the last time that happened?) She provided a detailed summary of what each surgery entailed, recovery time, risks and asked if I had any questions. I was impressed with her knowledge and thoroughness. She asked me which option(s) I felt most comfortable proceeding with. Yes, I was given a choice in what was going to happen to me and my body. I would recommend Dr Meyer and her office to anyone!

I was impressed to read Dr. Meyer's philosophy statement, so I booked my appointment with her. Unfortunately they were words, not actions. I waited 90 minutes for first appointment. Second appointment, I only waited 5 minutes. If you need clarification on medicine, you will need to speak to 2 different people, then you wait again for a return phone call. NOTHING IS SIMPLE in this office. When a doctor earns a great reputation, it is important for the doctor to RETAIN it. It is a shame when it is at the cost of their patients. Perhaps this doctor has gotten too busy to remember the ABCs of being a a good CARING doctor. If you want to be valued as a person and not as an addition to a doctor's wallet, seek a doctor elsewhere.

Dr. Meyer is an excellent listener and never makes the patient feel rushed. Because she takes all the time a patient needs, she often runs late, but that is acceptable to me. She is very open and upfront about problems and treatments, plus she has a good sense of humor. She's a wonderful doctor.
