Dr Leonatd has now retired from family practice and he is missed. He had been our doctor since the late 80's. I laugh some of the comments like the person being given an appointment q month away, I wonder how that person feels now? Perhaps he laments that we are not back in tge days when we had been lucky to get and appointment at all. Yes it was frustrating when one was not able to get an appointment right away but a family practitioner's office is not an emergency room , however dr leonards office always tried to accommodate as much as they could and did fit you in whae there were openings. What I really liked about doctor Leonard is that he listened and respected your beliefs and your decisions without mocking them or pressuring you and tried to accommodate you.

My family and I have had the privilege of having Dr Leonard as our family physician for 30yrs now. He is an amazing doctor...very knowledgeable and explains everything very clearly. I've been dreading the day that he would retire and knowing now that it is only a few more months away, makes me extremely sad but he has worked so hard and has had such long hours, he definitely deserves some rest and relaxation now. Wishing you all the best in your retirement Dr Leonard. You will be greatly missed by so many!

Absolutely the best family Doctor I have ever seen. He is knowledgable, attentive and goes to great lengths to get to root cause of the problem and takes quick remedial action. He has looked after my health issues for more the 25 years. Sorry to see him retire.

My daughter died because of the uncaring manner of dear Doctor Leonard and the staff of Kemptville District Hospital. He called me to tell me that my daughter was given an overdose but that it wasn't necessary to come to the hospital. I couldn't believe that he would not expect me to go to the hospital. What was he trying to hide? If I hadn't rushed in, my daughter would have died that day. What kind of uncaring individual would react in this manner? I think he was trying to protect Dr. Roberto Giaccone, who was responsible for the overdose. Nevertheless, my daughter did eventually die (after I had her transferred to a facility in Ottawa, where the care was no better). I don't know where either Doctor obtained their licence to practice. With proper care, my daughter could have lived a lot longer. Her daughter never got to know her mother. Dear doctors and staff of Kemptville District Hospital, "There will be a final judgment". It's only a matter of time!

Dr Leonard has been our family physician since 1988 and I only have praise for him. He is extremely knowledgeable and has always been very patient and polite with my children and myself. I went to 6 different physicians in the Kemptville area trying to find a good one when my kids were born and once we found him, we didn't have to look any further.

Dr. Leonard goes on lots of vacations and consequently has no time to see patients. I've had doctor Leonard as my family doctor for over 30 years now, but for the last few years he has never been able to see me within a months time. A couple times they actually tried to schedule an appointment for me 3 months down the road. Who's still sick or in pain 3 months after the event? Overall very poor service these days, in my opinion he should just retire and get it over with.

I like Dr Leonard. He's a nice guy and never diagnosed me wrong. I found the person above who "diagnosed themself" pretty funny.. diagnos themselves.. haha. Anyhow, he's a good doctor, and who cares what God he believes in, I'll give him the good MD card and ignore what religion he follows.

I have always respected Dr. Leonard's ability to provide me with quality care. I appreciate his focus and his attention to the facts. He's objective in his assessment of the patient and the symptoms. I can see how some might find his manner calculated (or even cold)but, honestly,I want a Doctor that listens, assesses and provides you with good info and direction. I have a very high respect for his prescence and opinion and having as my Dr. has been of great benefit for all my health issues. He's a busy guy who has been taking excellent care of his community for many years. Thanks Dr. Leonard for being there when I finally accepted that I needed you.
