Dr. Cohen was very positive, supportive, and open to new ideas with me. He is the attending and has an outstanding team of doctors that follow his lead in patient care. He sets the tone of caring, concern, and professionalism and they follow thru nicely. My only complaint would be that there sometimes a wait of over an hour to see him. I assume this is because he takes his time with each patient, and was much appreciated when I was beeing seen. The followup care was outstanding from a medical and surgical perspective. I made several suggestions that address some of the practical issues of having a HALO cast from a patient's perspective and they were well-received by him and his staff. A home-health Rn weekly visit for the first month or so for HALO pts may be helpful and instructive and prevent infections. For those without support systems in place home-health and social work may be helpful in assisting those patients to cope with their loss of mobility and independence. Good job !!
