Dr C has been my dr for roughly 5 years. Although things were great in the beginning and we established trust and understanding things have gone horrible. I had a surgery that went horribly wrong which required me to take pain meds longer and I became dependent on them. I was refered to dr Clellend and she put me on suboxone. I’ve recently noticed a lot of inconsistencies with my prescriptions. One month I can pick up a month at a time, but then the next month I’m forced to pick up once a week and the first dose has to be witnessed. I brought this up to her and explained it is very difficult for me to be going to the pharmacist every week on top of all of my other medication‘s because of my work schedule.
I’m not your average “drug addict” and even she has told me that. I have ALWAYS held my same job, I’ve passed every urine test she’s ever asked for and I’ve never been out of suboxone before my script ends. I’ve never had any issues caused by me. She is inconsistent often not correct when it comes to medication. She rarely listens to what you have to say, and the moment you disagree with her all hell breaks loose. Even when you are explaining to her, you’re not trying to be confrontational or upset towards her but the situation she then gets angry. Threatening not to give you your script or make you drive to another town to get it. Tells you to find a new dr and says “good luck finding one” evening when she makes a mistake and you explain she then freaks out because apparently she can never be wrong? I don’t know if she’s nearing retirement but she should retire.
She’s not all bad and I know she has a heart of gold and she’s extremely thorough and very smart. She has definitely gone above to help me. But she likes listening to your feelings and lacks compassion. I have been advised by other professionals to make a complaint through the college of physicians, but I just cannot bring myself to it knowing me she may have many complaints already against her. She should be reviewed yearly. Like someone else commented, she spreads herself way to thin and clients pay the price.

First doctor willing to really help me in a long time. First doctor in my life that really seems to care and listens, and goes the extra mile. She's a godsend.

I’m sad to see so many people speak unkindly of dr clelland. But, after reading the negative reviews under the correct light I have come to the conclusion that it’s mainly severe drug addicts that are trying to beat the system and dr clelland will not have it. If you’re looking for cheap drugs, head to Hastings. If you’re a person like myself who has unfortunately been prescribed into a drug addiction due to a horrible accident, she’s the perfect person to help get you back on your feet. She’s here to help you get clean, not high. She has gone out of her way to help me and for that I will always be thankful.

Dr Clelland is one of the best Dr's I have ever had... (and I have had a lot) I moved to the Island 9 years ago and could not get a Dr, as I had a complex health history that included chronic pain. I finally was referred to Dr Clelland and a miracle happened... Jane took me on as a patient. Since that day my life has changed for the better. I was tried on several pain treatments finally settling on suboxone at a low dose. My weight has decreased by a third, I can walk more and enjoy time with friends and family.... Yes sometimes I have to wait to see Dr Clelland but the wait is always worth it.. I know she has spent extra time with me when I need it, so I know if she is behind it is because someone else is being helped. Dr Clelland is to the point... knowledgeable and somehow manages to be patient, even with the craziness of the world today and the difficulties in her chosen field. I wish more Dr's had a heart like Jane's to serve the needs of people like us.

There are some poor ratings that are absolutely not my experience. I’m a 21 year search for pain management solutions this is the breakthrough appt I needed! Dr. Clelland was beyond knowledgeable, compassionate and helped find an out of the box solution for my pain management. There was deep understanding in my history, which took time to go through a complex file, and a methodology and calculated approach to try something different and somewhat unconventional. Please take the poor responses from patients that I would guess have other challenges leading to these reviews. 21 years of seeking someone to help not just prescribe an opioid was a god send. Give Dr. Clelland the benefit of the doubt I sense she has a huge heart to find solutions. Thanks to her I have some simple solutions that have helped improve my pain management.

I’ve been a patient of dr Clellends for about six or seven years now and at first I will admit that I didn’t like her either but she had on the other hand helped me tremendously and I’m now been clean out healing for two years. I tried methadone at first but to be truthful using methadone all it did was e enable me to continue to use so then I tried suboxone because she suggested it and it worked. Thanks to dr Clellend I have a life again.

I’ve read over some of these reviews and had to write one of my own. Dr Clelland and staff have been nothing but good to me. She has bent over backwards to help me out with prescriptions and going away for work. I have been in the office waiting for my appointment and. An hear people yelling and screaming at her because she wouldn’t give them exactly what they wanted. Once I had to tell a woman to shut up. Yes the wait times are long. But she has a massive amount of patients she sees in many towns. I have always been honest with her and never taking more than prescribed. In return , she and her staff have been great. Highly recommend.

This woman is. Total nightmare I was just in the beginning stages of getting off of fentnayl and she decided that saboxone was a good idea ... well after forcing me to get a bunch of unnesscwry blood work she agreed to try it ... I went into precipitated Withdrawal from saboxone 35 times ... and she refused to switch me to SOMTHING els she let me go through this over and over and over and over again. Knowing full well that saboxone wasn’t working for me as if she was teaching me some sick disguting lesson.... I was trying to get better. She was horribly rude to me. Treated me like complete trash or dirt on her shoe
