Sadly Dr Herbert diagnosed me with MS after only looking at me and after i showed 4 different positives of LYME Disease!he would not comment or look at the test i had gave him!This was the second time after i got all the positives for Lyme back that i returned tohis office to prove no MS!he shook his head and asked if i paid the front desk!!!!!a perfect example of what LYME patients are dealing with!have a lyme test done by IGENEX LABS PALO ALTO, CALIF Before you decide to take MS drugs!!!!

Reading the other comments, I dont know how anyone could say Dr Herbert is arrogant or is someone to avoid. I think Dr Herbert is amazing. He always listens and does his best to solve whatever issue Im having at any time. Only problem Ive ever had there is getting paperwork from the front office but that was a long time ago. No complaints.

I often feel shuffled off to the nurse practitioner. I am happy with the doctor when he spends real time with me.

I'm not sure if it's fair to judge Dr. Herbert because I see him for about 3 mins; I'm forced to deal with his impatient, dismissive nurse practitioner for 90% of the visit. I guess Dr. Herbert is knowledgeable, and he seems nice enough from my brief conversations with him, but I'm not sure how engaged he is with the patient experience. I generally leave Dr. Herbert's practice in tears, and not because of my MS - it's because of the staff I interact with. MS is a serious disease, and bedside manner should be better than this, in my humble opinion. I'm interviewing other doctors bc I can't stay with this practice. The waiting room staff seems generally disinterested in the patients, and I have waited between 30 and 60 minutes for my scheduled appt. The nurses are okay, friendly and knowledgeable, but they can only do so much. I'm sure I can do better than Dr. Herbert's practice.

Doesn't pay sufficient attention to the person -- in particular, to MS SYMPTOMS suffered by the patient -- doesn't ask questions -- doesn't engage in conversation -- doesn't perform a full exam -- doesn't offer recommendations/suggestions regarding treatment. Very disappointing.

I love Dr. Herbert. I have never felt rushed and have never left his office without my questions answered. He jumped right on board with my other specialists and together, they work to treat my symptoms.

Dr. Herbert is amazing. So caring and dedicated. I was diagnosed 9 years ago and nobody realizes that I have MS. Dr. Herbert treated my MS with steroids for the first two years. It really paid off. I moved to North Carolina and still fly in to see him twice a year.

Makes sure there are enough body bags available for his MS patients; they check in, but rately check out. Nothing like high doses of steroids to finish the job when it comes to his MS patients. The hospital loves him because he fills the beds amd worms the nickels out of Medicare and Medicaid. What a guy. A must to avoid.
