The Doctor helped me with my crippling heel pain. There are a lot of things like stretching that take time, and wearing orthotics that I got down in the Strongsville pharmacy for $30 that help a lot. I put them in my good fitting NB walking shoes. You have to make the personal time to help yourself get better a few times a day. You can find nice Orthotic boots by looking online. Now I can go to the mall again or walk all over the Cleveland Clinic campus without crying when I get home because my feet hurt so bad. Dr. Boike was very nice and helpful, didn't harp on the fact that my weight is a factor in the problem, just went about the business of helping me feel better.

If you want to be treated by a resident physician with Dr. Boike overlooking him, this is the place for you. You see the resident and then seen Dr. Boike himself for a total of 5 or so minutes. I walked out of there not knowing anymore than I went in. They wrote out a prescription for an orthotics for my shoes that "may or may not" solve the problem...though I never got an answer to what was wrong with my foot. Nor did they say if insurance does not pay for orthotics that it's a $400 tab for YOU to pick up. Money down the drain if turns out that "may not" is not the answer. What's several hundred dollars down the drain in this economy? Very poor patient relations and practice of medicine. I expected to learn what is wrong with my foot at the very least. I will NEVER go back to Dr. Boike again. I want someone responsible, whom I can deal directly with without a resident AND who can provide a diagnosis....and then have better handle on how to treat the issue.

Outstanding result. Very minimal pain. After hearing from others how painful bunion surgery can be, I was virtually pain free after 48 hours. He is a great surgeon, and a really nice man.

Smart, kind, patient, professional, listens, spends time with you. I have seen Dr. Boike at the Cleveland Clinic main campus and the satellite office in Strongsville many times. I have ongoing foot and ankle problems in both feet due to injury. I see him periodically, as needed. He has a degree in pharmacy which I think enhances his medical knowledge and ability to prescribe effectively. He is highly respected nationally. He is a past associate professor and director of the Podiatric Surgical Residency Training Program, Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine/Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic. He knows his stuff! His credentials and experience are excellent and make him an excellent doctor. I have recommended him to many people. You can't get a better podiatrist than Dr. Boike!
