We love Dr. Shoemaker. He takes his time & explains everything to us. His staff is always friendly and most helpful. He has late office hours on Mondays, so we never have to take off work of school, and you can just walk in, no appointmentneeded.

He misdiagnosed my 80-year-old mother's pneumonia, which turned in to congestive heart failure and landed her in the hospital. I finally got her to go to the emergency room. She didn't want to because she had too much faith in Dr. Shoemaker, who basically gave her more antibiotics instead of telling her to go to the emergency room. Her legs looked horrible and she gained nearly 20 pounds in two weeks. She ended up in the hospital for four days and they took two liters of liquid off her lungs. They also made a mistake on my account five years ago, mistaking my patient file for my mother's. I took this in and corrected it (or so I thought). Fast forward five years later and I when I went in for an appointment, I was humiliated when they told me I couldn"t see the doctor and could not come back because I did not pay my bill and this was turned over to a collection agency for $45. How do I prove that this is their mistake, made five years ago? Answer: I can't. Good luck with these people.
