I have had a bad ankle (left) for over two years and my right one has been bad for one year. I have been seeing Dr. Ulbrecht for a little over a year and I have to say that he is the best. He listens, he does everything he can to help me out. His staff is helpful , concerned about me and my issues , they all go above and beyond to help out. I've read some of the comments on here and I have to wonder if they saw the same doctor I did. All I can say is that I really like him and his staff .
And I give them all a 5 star rating.

Been a patient for 2 years, have yet to see Dr. Ulbrecht. Handed a pamphlet about diet and told you have to make good choices in a condescending tone. Second "issue" with my Humalog prescription: pharmacy couldn't refill without prior authorization ( 2nd time this has happened in last few months). Called the office and spoke with a nurse who said the incorrect script was on file at pharmacy, she would have it updated and sent over asap. 24 hours later ( i have been out of Humalog since lunchtime yesterday) and still no insulin! The pharmacy told me that the script had been changed to Novalog due to an insurance issue and they did not have it in stock. No mention of this during phone call with nurse at Ulbrecht's office yesterday. Informed by pharmacy that their next closest location would be Williamsport and they would be happy to call it in there. So looking at driving to Williamsport to get Novalog, which I have never used before. Will be leaving this practice as soon as I can find someone else. Jenny Knecht who replaced Barb Purdum has been helpful and knowledgable but she is the only in this office I can say that about.

Dr. Ulbrecht treated both myself and my husband with considerable respect and capability. He listened carefully to our situations and reviewed our previous records thoroughly. The diagnosis and recommended treatment was spot on. The nursing staff is courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ulbrecht and his nurse practitioners or physician assistant to my family and friends should the need arise.

I would never recommend this doctor or his group to anyone. Your questions will go unanswered and you will most likely feel belittled. The nurse, Barbara Purdum, is condescending and rude. Go to a family physician before this "specialist" or you'll be wasting your time and money. The only good thing I can say is that you don't wait long to be seen, however you aren't seen for very long before they push you out the door either!
