Dr. Bailey did back surgery on my wife in October of 2014. She went pain free for one day, then the pain returned. When she got to see him again he said that her disc had collapsed and she would need another surgery. When we went to set it up, his office said that the next opening he had was in February of 2015, 4 months later. During this time she was in a lot of pain and spent about 90% of her time laying on her right side. He did the second back surgery and put rods in her back. This didn't help her pain and he wrote letters for her work stating that she couldn't return. When dealing with Prudential Insurance company with disability, the letters he wrote to them stated that she would most likely never to be able to work again. When she went to go on to long term disability with Prudential, the company requested a letter from Bailey's office concerning her ability to work. He never sent one back, and Prudential shut off her disability checks. She got a lawyer to get the money she would've earned until retirement which, when the lawyer calculated it, totaled around $90,000. Her lawyer sent a request that Bailey sign a letter stating that she couldn't work and requested that he be an expert witness in the upcoming court case. 4 months went by and her lawyer didn't hear anything. After we pushed his office on the phone, we were told that he thinks she can go back to work. He made this statement without seeing her for 3 years, all the while she's still in a large amount of pain and spends most of her time laying down. In the end, we got $30,000. 1/3 of which went to her lawyer. Myself, my wife, and my family will not go back to him again. When you need him to stand up for you, he won't do it.
