It took me days to get through to the office to schedule an appointment. My initial appointment with Dr. Imam was so-so. I found him to be clinically okay, but he gets a zero for bed-side manner. He tried to be pleasant, but came off as arrogant and condescending. He talked to me like I was a child. I didn't take one of his recommendations to take a medication and called his office to tell them why. The nurse I spoke with said my reasoning sounded fine. At the follow-up appointment, he was really irritated with me for not following his advice. Last time I checked, my body and decisions regarding its healthcare were my decision.

Dr. Imam acted like he was trying to help but he never followed through on anything. He is very slow on giving any type of medication and prolongs things that are unnecessary. I would not recommend him to anyone as I feel he truly does not care for his patients. The office seems very unorganized and I feel everytime I try to call them, I am bothering them. If you have a sever problem, please call someone else or go to a major city. GI's in the allentown area are not very good or experienced and pls be careful as they may do procedures to make more money out of you.
