Had hip replacement 4 years ago, still having pain every day! Intentionally left leg longer, not good!!

Best Ortho team in Cincinnati!!!!!! Have had 2 hips and 1 knee replaced so far. The pain is gone and I'm back to bowling. Having other knee done soon. Wherever Dr Swank goes...I GO!!!!! Do your research!!! Not all Doctors do hips and knees like Dr Swank.

Dr. Swank performed a total knee replacement on my right knee. I didn't seem to be healing properly. Dr. Swank told me it was because my expectations were too high. Well, when things continued to be problematic, DESPITE DOING EVERYTHING DR. SWANK TOLD ME TO DO, I finally sought a second opinion. I learned that my flexibility is WAY below where it should be AND it is too late to perform the "simple" corrective surgery.
I'm now facing another MAJOR SURGERY because of poor follow-up/communication on Dr. Swank's part!!

I just called to schedule a follow up appointment after surgery and found out he has left the practice! Unbelievable! He should have told me before I had the surgery!!

I can't believe he left orthocincy! It is so much better than bacon: way more efficient and the people are friendlier. I have been to both for knee problems and even though i love dr swank, i'm not following him to that practice!

I am 72 years old and Dr. Swank gave me a total Knee Replacement. I was walking normal the day after the surgery with no pain. He has given me a new lease on life.

Dr Swank is the only Orthopedic Surgeon I've seen in the Cincinnati area that is ready and able to handle complex Knee Replacements.

His methods of surgery allowed me to return to work the Monday after Friday surgery. My physical therapy lasted only a few weeks. What a blessing this surgeon is.

I had a hip replacement about 1.5 years ago. About 3 weeks after surgery I reported to his assistant that the surgery leg was about an inch longer than the non surgery leg. She said it would take time to settle. Then at week 7, I visited Dr. Swank himself. I told him my problem and he gave me an explanation that made absolutely no sense; something about a marionette and cutting the strings.
Now a year and a half later, (1) I have to wear a lift in my shoe (2) the surgery hip is extremely painful at times (3) I am starting to have back problems.
I would think that a doctor would at least back his work, but bottom line he did not admit he made a mistake, nor did he offer to help make it right.

I am 40 years old and unfortunately had to have a knee replacement. I went to several doctors who were more than happy to replace my knee without giving me much feedback or explanation. I thank God for Dr. Swank and his phenomenal team. I have a 2 year old and before I could not leave the house due to excruciating pain. It has been 6 months since my surgery and myself and my family have been hot on the road ever since. I can now be the mother and wife God intended me to be. Dr. Swank is truly an anointed surgeon and has the healing hands of God.
