Difficult to deal with; difficult to get in with. Office staff has violated HIPPA laws and Dr. is well aware of it.

does not listen to the patient or their needs. perscibes meds that have no effect for what and whom he is treating. i am in a nursing home and fully aware and instead of talking and telling me what meds he is donna put me on he lets the director of nursing tell him what to put me on and then when I try to talk to him about my meds he sends me to Bill the Director of Nursing here at the nursing home.

Despite a very busy practice, I have always felt that Dr. Polster is available when I need him. If I need to be seen, I am worked in. He always returns telephone calls the same day. I feel he respectfully listens to my concerns, opinions, and comments. He has never made me feel that I have asked a "stupid" question. I do not feel "rushed through" an appointment, yet he keeps remarkably close to an on-time schedule. On the few occasions he has run late, he has always apologized and did not attempt to "make up time" by shortening my appointment. I would highly recommend him.

Straightforward and helpful. Has responded promptly to answering service calls. Works in a group practice and allows patients to be seen by his colleagues in an emergency. Helped me find a good counselor -- gave me a list of people he knew. Also did not offense at questions I've asked about why he prescribed certain medications; seems to appreciate that I actively research my own condition and treatment plan.
