Personally I have nothing but excellent reviews for Dr. Murphy. He took wonderful care of my father-in-law and now taking wonder care of
my husband along with myself. He has never once made us feel like a number and always greets us by name. He has always taken into consideration my husbands family history and has listened to our concerns every time. I would recommend Dr. Murphy to any and all who need a Cardiologist.

He spends two seconds with you during visits then leaves. He doesn't pay attention to details in the charts that can be life and death and his staff, especially Laura is terrible and the most rude person I have ever encountered. The advice they gave me would cost me my life, but she wanted to scold me about not listening to her nonexistent phone message and belittle my knowledge of my body by telling me it is an emergency when I am on the floor and unable to get up. Do not waste one second of your time, because they won't spend more than a second on you.

Dr. Murphy has always made me feel like he cares about his patients and will be there with them when they need him/ He has always encouraged exercise and a low fat diet in addition to the ever reminder that smoking is bad and everyone needs to stop.Thank You, Dr. Murphy!! You are the best!!

I think the world of Dr Murphy. He took excellent care of my father ( who had a very bad cardiac history). And now, he is taking excellent care of me. Unfortunately that bad cardiac history is hereditary. Great bedside manner. Always calm.

He misdiagnosed me with a irregular heatbeat condition that was supposedly shown on a heart monitor strip. He immediately had me implanted with a defibrilator/pacemaker. He said it's a matter of life/death even though I'd never lost consciousness. After (3) surgeries, countless adjustments to the unit, and my medication, I sought a second opinion at the advice of my family physician. The second cardiologist saw no evidence of an irregular heartbeat that would require implantation of a defibrilator/pacemaker. In addition, he advised that Dr. Murphy had me on too high a dose of medication, and had the settings on the unit set incorrectly. A third opinion confirmed the second cardiologists findings. They both advised that more extensive testing shold've been done by Dr.Murphy prior to implanting a defibrilator. I had an EP study conducted, which confirmed that I didn't need a defibrilator. A month later I had the unit removed. Two years later, I'm still alive. Need I say more?
