i was looking for a dentist in london to treat our dad holistically. It wasn’t easy to find the right one. 4 dentists including the munro-hall clinic which was the most rudest clinic refused to see our dad as an emergency and others said due to dads age (86) they would recommend he go to hospital. A local dentist we saw in london charged for a treatment plan and agreed to execute it and then wouldn’t step up to treat our dad and told us to have it done in hospital. He then ignored all our calls and the delay in treating the cavities led to our dad getting a periapical root infection abscess which could be life threatening.

I had to find a holistic dentist fast. I needed to find one who

a) could see our dad as an emergency
b) was experience and would do the extraction with ozone and remove periodontal ligament
c) was compassionate and king
d) was local

Dr Harvie-austin was all of the above and
the bonus was he was so reasonably priced - 5x less than the quote i got from a well known holistic practice in Portsmouth !

i contacted the holistic dentists in farnham and it was the lovely dentist there Dr Emma Davison who recommended Dr Harvie-austin to me.

i looked him up and found he was trained by Hal huggins and the secratary of the mercury free dental society and he worked in harley street. i contacted him late on a friday evening and he replied to me on saturday saying he will call me on monday which i thought was so very kind. To my utter amazement he called me on Sunday , spoke to myself and my father over the phone and gave us an appointment for monday afternoon at his London office in Harley street ! What other dentist is going to be his kind ? I had a dentist who wanted me to pay him £750 for his time to read background notes and give a second opinion and he was in southampton !

Dr Harvie-austin looked at all the notes and xrays and gave an opinion via email immediately , i didn’t have to even go through a receptionist. He does all his own correspondence. He truly works from the heart. He said dad had an abscess in the root of the filled tooth he can see it clearly from the x-ray there is an abscess there in the root same as the another dentist said. He did advise filling this tooth may be pushing the infection down further so it was so vital to get the tooth out quickly. I was so happy for this blessing and this kind dentist i had to write here. Before i went to see dr harvie-austin this previous review had research more to be sure i was taking dad to someone competent and i didn’t want that to happen to anyone else. Just because someone doesn’t have reviews doesn’t automatically mean they are no good. Perhaps it means no one has the time to write about great people only to complain.

I am so elated and stunned by Dr Harvie-austins kindness and his deep knowledge and gently manner with our 86 year old father who was also bereaved and needed extra tlc - i didn’t think i will find someone so experienced and confident and who will do the treatment so skilfully and painlessley and LOCALLY so i don’t have to drive my dad half way around the country.

All went brilliantly. Dad was so comfortable after the extraction he fell asleep. the dentist was beyond words excellent and so was every member of staff within the building. The energy was just genuinely high up there of love and kindness. i thoroughly recommend this dentist to anyone looking for a holistic dentist.

Dr Harvie-austin has such a kind and caring nature and i was blown away about how quickly and how painlessly and confidently he attended to our dad.

the report you get after the consult is very thorough. The aftercare is included in the price of the treatment. Beyond words great experience and will send all my family here.

no ratings? that bothers me. for that reason alone i wouldnt go here. havent seen anything on facebook, yelp? nothing not good when every other dentist has some form of review
