Biography

Dr. Michael Laliberte is extensively trained in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgery. After completing undergraduate and medical school at the University of Saskatchewan, Dr. Laliberte specialized in Plastic Surgery at the University of Manitoba. In his 5th year of residency, as Chief Resident, Dr. Laliberte attended the prestigious Pitanguy Clinic in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he completed a cosmetic surgery internship and subsequently trained at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital in complex reconstructive surgery. Dr. Laliberte's subspecialty training then continued with a one year Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at The Buncke Replantation & Transplantation Clinic in San Francisco, California. Dr. Laliberte is a Canadian Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is an active member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgery and is licensed to practice medicine by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
