There is no other doctor/surgeon who I trust more than Dr. Elkassem. I spent two years in extreme pain in and out of the Lethbridge ER being told nothing was wrong with me. I met Dr. Elkassem four years ago from a referral that I will never forget! My pain was taken care of in one swift procedure and I get a yearly scope for my issue. He is an AMAZING Doctor and you would be foolish to miss out on his care by listening to all the Google “specialists”. Thank you Dr. Elkassem, you are the best!

Dr. Elkassem is the best surgeon I have ever dealt with. I have been under his care for nearly three years. I drive faithfully from Lethbridge to make sure I don’t miss any appointment with him. Dr. Elkassem is caring; he is so knowledgeable, extremely thorough, and he listens! I am very thankful he took me in as a patient!

Dr. Elkassem truly saved my life and my mental well-being. The surgeons in Lethbridge only mocked me and spoke down to me. I would travel anywhere to have him take care of me. His bedside manner is second to none. He is superb at his craft. I recommend him 100%

Was referred to Dr. Elkassem for an urgent hernia repair. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing wrong with me and that the ultrasound I had was wrong. I told him I’ve had sever pain for over 6 months and tried to show him the bulge I had. He told me if I still have pain in a few months to come back and he’d try to get me in before Christmas. Asked his secretary when I could get back in, and she said we don’t know his schedule. Seemed they were more concerned about summer holidays then helping their patient. I went back to my family doctor and was referred to Dr. Van Niekerk, who had me in for surgery in 2 weeks to get my hernia repaired. Dr. Elkassem is a joke. Stay away at all costs!!!!!

I can’t say much about the physician as I haven’t seen him, but the staff is rude and disrespectful. I’ve had several chronic disease diagnoses in the past 4 months and my health has gone from great to horrific, including many hospital visits. I spoke with staff and let them know they could temporarily set aside my referral as at this point, a routine colonoscopy simply could not be my priority with all my other appointments and issues. They called me again recently and the lady angrily asked why they couldn’t get ahold of me. When I explained that I had spoken to her she continued to angrily tell me that I had not and that there were no notes about it. We need to start remembering what dignity and care actually is. First line staff are an imperative part of care. People feel sick and horrible as it is, they do not need incompetent, rude staff to make it worse.

I have been in Dr. Elkassem's care for 3-4 years . He cares so much about his patients he is an awesome Dr. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Elkassem as my Dr.

I Have had two Surgeries with Dr. Elkassem and both times had great experiences. He has a great bedside manner. Both times he seemed to care about me and how i was feeling unlike other doctors i have been with that just tried to push me out the door. Thank you for all you jave done for me Dr. Elkassem.

Due to his negligence, a patient died under his care of an appendix operation. He also caused another lady permanent nerve damage after another appendix surgery. Not sure how medicine hat ends up with doctor's like this that can't practice elsewhere due to negligence.

Very thorough. He was great about fitting me in with a days notice after having some pain. He is very easy to talk to and really listens.

Seems like he doesn't really care, has trouble focusing when you ask him questions directly.
