I worked with Dr. Pervez at a mental health hospital. Despite a few cultural quirks, I always found him to be particularly knowledgeable and professional. He juggles many responsibilities at the same time in his work, and can seem distracted when he is considering the many aspects of a patient, but he is focused. Among the many psychiatrists I have known and worked with, he is top tier and I have recommended him to my own family members.

I have been seeing this doctor for 2 years and 3 months. Although Dr. Pervez is very caring and kind, his staff is full of unorganized, unprofessional and simply nasty over the phone. I have been dropped from this doctor due to missing 5 appointments (all rescheduled) since January 2018. I was diagnosed with cancer and broken up with which both caused me to have to move appointments. There was no communication that this was an issue. Instead, a letter is mailed to me and staff refuses to speak and provide dates of appointments I had missed so I could provide documentation and reason for absence. One of the staff is an indian gentleman who is VERY nasty on the phone - he raised his voice to me and stated that they do not need my business.... when i told them that i had missed the most recent appointment because they did not call me to confirm (as they promise to do on initial paperwork). I offered to bring printed phone records to the office for him to see so that this missed appt would not be a strike against me. PS i have them printed

I spent 14 days in Dublin Spring last spring and the worst part of my stay was Dr,
Pervez. I couldn't under stand him because of his accent (from India) and he didn't care. I couldn't get anyone to tell me what he was doing with my medication. I hope I never see him again.

I saw Dr. Pervez while hospitalized at Dublin Springs a mental health facility. I was there because I was hallucinating; this is part of my Bi Polar Disorder. My first visit with Dr. Pervez he wanted to put me on Lithium. I've had all my other "shrinks" suggest this but refused because you have to draw blood regularly to check for proper levels & liver function. It' VERY difficult to draw blood on me. I've been "poked" 6/7 times & it's ALWAYS difficult. I told Dr. P this & he completely ignored me & gave me lithium anyway. I didn't argue because you are deemed uncooperative & will spend more time in the hospital. This Dr. doesn't make eye contact & doesn't seem to care. I got fed up with him told him of my experience at Riverside compared to my treatment at Dublin Springs & said I wouldn't keep taking lithium. All of sudden he was interested in what I had to stay. He also changed my diagnosis to depression which wasn't true. IMO this was done to keep me there longer than necessary.
