Terrible human being. Lied to us about a family meeting, caused irreparable damage during an ECT treatment and then cowardly ran away. After discovered he was responsible for the young man’s death in Maitland😢

After only ONE 10 min call where this loonie with a liscnce wouldn't EVEN LET ME SPEAK. not kidding. Barely a word, and he'd be like "excuse me , (in my mind hes probably saying IM the professional here,"... So condescending..... Grrr then a few weeks later I showed up in brockville hospital and he was just as ignorant. I called him out on his rudeness. He said when he has an idea in his head he can't be interrupted as if he's some genuis... Nope. Got diagnosed within 20 minutes of him looking at my files and barely asking me questions. Referred me to DBT therapy, but I didn't qualify because I'm taking an opiate medication. They got me allll excited beforehand too. Just a nut. Condescending, sour, should retire

If I didn't know as much as I do about my own mental health, I would be six feet under right now. This doctor had never even met me before but went on to use what he called, "confrontational therapy". He even said that it was okay to be hard on me because he would not be seeing me again. Because of his 'knowledge', I was taken off all meds cold turkey. Three months later I am struggling to get back on track. I was told I was sabotaging myself with my thoughts. He even went so far as to say that my husband was trying to sabotage me as well. It's more like HE (Dr. Jackson) was sabotaging any positive gains I had made in my treatment up to that point. Absolutely disgusted that a doctor can come in and do this without having ever met me and without knowing what kind of reaction I might have. He made me feel that everything was my fault and I was making excuses so I wouldn't have to work or have other responsibilities. Yes doctor, this is how I want to spend the rest of my life. Alone, afraid and miserable. By the end of the conversation I was ready to throw myself under a train. I've been dealing with mental illness for more than 30 years. I had never before felt so pathetic and useless as this guy made me feel. It's no wonder so many people won't talk about their mental health when there are doctors like this 'helping' them.

This guy is seriously really bad at his job. He was actually very punctual but i believe its because he just wanted to get the appointment done and over with. I pray this guy retires, no person struggling with mental illness should have to deal with this incredibly incompetent psychiatrist. Ive been begging for help with my mental illness for years and this guy couldn't give less of a care. His recommendations? Exercise, yoga, stopping self medicating(marijuana use), and a low dose prozac prescription, while im suffering with diagnosed bipolar disorder. He must be super old with an outdated degree or something but i couldn't believe what i dealt with. I was having a long severe depressive episode around this time with awful suicidal ideation , and i tried expressing that too him, yet he barely listened. He was basically my final hope for treatment and i was holding on for that very appointment for months actually expecting real treatment, yet he turned his back on me. The appointment lasted 15 minutes because he was in such a rush to end it. Please quit or retire your job Dr. Jackson so that you can stop getting us struggling peoples hopes up and wasting their time, as the whole point of your job is to help people with mental illness, is that really so hard???? But his receptionist is nice, hence the 3 stars for staff.

Dr. Jackson talked over 90% of the time he was with me and listened very little. Even though I was careful not to interrupt him he was always willing to interrupt me. He diagnosed my with schizophrenia and sent me away. However, when I was properly assessed by psychiatrists who take their jobs seriously it was discovered that I do not have schizophrenia. Horrible excuse for a doctor.
