Dr. Amanullah is a great doctor ! He is straight forward and just as eager as you are in your recovery process. I highly recommend him and am glad he is one of my doctors.

People who give Dr. A bad ratings have probably only visited him once and think they know more about mental health than he does. He is companionate and kind and empathetic and tells you how it is. He doesn’t sugar coat anything and he gets you the help you NEED. Not necessarily the help you WANT. If you had a bad experience your first time around and are looking at these ratings for people who agree with you, stop, take a breath, and give Dr A another chance. You owe that much to yourself and your mental health.

If you think he is being short or rude with you, I suggest that you take a deep breath and ask yourself why you think that. Dr. A has been literally the only doctor to A. Call me out on my cr@p and B. Somehow do that with enough care and compassion to help and get me the assistance I need in regards to my mental health. He is also very knowledgeable on tips that will help me with my physical health as well. He recognizes that these all go hand in hand. He has given me the best life advice I have ever received and I am very lucky to have him as a sounding board and a dedicated mental health professional. It is very rare to have a doctor these days who doesn't try to get you out of their office as soon as possible. Dr. Amanullah is not one of those doctors IF you are willing to listen to what he is saying. A wonderful person and a fantastic resource

I was instructed to arrive early to fill out paperwork, which included a brief survey of mood and questions on dealing with others. When I finally went into his office to see him, he talked to me all of five minutes and seemed to think I had Borderline Personality Disorder. Where the heck he got this idea, I am not sure, no other psychiatrist has EVER suggested this. He quickly brought up the fact he ran a support group for Borderline PD, so I suspect he needed to fill his quota to get the group to run. Psychiatry is not like Fast Food. You can't diagnose someone after just meeting them for the first time.

Excellent Doctor. Has helped me a lot. I was initially resistant because I had seen many different psychiatrists and therapists over the years and had lost trust in the profession. I tried to self-diagnose but got nowhere. Once I finally trusted and accepted Dr Amanullah's diagnosis and treatment, I got very good results. Highly recommended.

Not very professional doctor lack of bedside manner misdiagnosed me never wrote stuff in my file when I was in the inpatient unit let alone the complaint that I had put in just overall very poor and I don't think we'll ever be going back to the Woodstock Hospital for any type of psychiatric treatment ever again
