Dr. Belew is an outstanding physician. He has an excellent manner in communicating and relating to patients. He's thoughtful, credible and communicates very well. None of my encounters with him seemed rushed and he always listened attentively. He performed shoulder surgery on me to repair a fully torn rotator cuff and remove an arthritis problem in my shoulder. I did not need any pain meds following the surgery and full range of motion in my shoulder was restored 2 weeks following surgery. I recommend him and his team very highly.

I would not suggest this man. He is rude he doesn't even pay attention to what you are telling him as my report was so off from anything I even told him. He lied while I was there he was condescending and completely unhelpful. I went to another doctor who made some adjustments to me putting 3 misplaced ribs back in place something he apparently didn't have a clue of how to diagnosed or fix. I honestly would not trust this guy to fix my toaster never the less my body. I have no bested interest other than I wouldn't want another human being subjected to him but that they get well with proper professional care.

Dr. Belew preformed rotator cuff and knee surgery on my husband and has also seen my son for sport's injuries and he is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. He has always reviewed the x-rays and MRI's and we will go to Dr. Belew again if anyone in our family needs an orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Belew has done 2 Rotator Cuff Surgery's on my Right Shoulder and did a wonderful job on both. Unlike the other people submitting these reports Dr. Belew looked ar X-Ray and read report also. Listened intently to my discribing how my Shoulder felt and was very thorough in his examination and follow up's.

I agree with the previous writer's comments that Dr. Belew failed to read the MRI but only the report. Also Dr. Belew was sending his patients to a place on Dunn Road for MRI's. The St. Louis Post Dispatch did a write up this place as over billing Medicare and making bogus reports.

Dr. Belew was short tempered and insulting, telling me to "get a cane and learn to live with it" regarding my knee pain. He failed to read the MRI he ordered, only reading the report page, and missed the huge cyst in my knee. Luckily I found a skilled doctor who read the MRI, removed the cyst and repaired the knee.
