Dr. Egan takes the time to answer any questions. The x-rays are minimal and are to show exactly which vertebrae are misaligned, how much they're off and in what direction.
Before going to Dr. Egan, I was thinking I would have to quit my job, but with regular adjustments my back pain has decreased a lot.

After 3 fairly serious car accidents my back was giving me a lot of problems. I heard about Dr. Egan and I decided to give him a try. He is religious but unlike the other rater I never felt that he was imposing his views on me. My husband and I both see Dr. Egan. Prior to visiting Dr. Egan I would need my husbands assistance to get out of bed due to tremendous lower back pain. No longer!! It has been 9 months. My husband is 66 and worked for Fed Ex lugging carts for many years. He was starting to develop a hump on his upper back and walked in a stooped position. We both were becoming stooped. We are both walking more erect now and I wouldn't say I never have "pain free" days but I would say my back is at least 75% better then before I saw Dr. Egan. Also if you need to ask questions he doesn't rush you. He gives you a list of exercises to further strengthen your back. Another rater stated he didn't equip her with active treatments, which is wrong since the exercise list is the self care plan that further helps the progression to a healthier back. I have seen numerous chiropractors in my 58 years but never one who has given me such positive results! Dr. Egan is HEALING my back!

He was great at first, and he really did help me with my initial back pain. I never went back due to the fact that he is VERY religious to a point where I felt he was preaching to me about religion.

I saw Dr. Thomas Egan for several months. Initially he seemed promising, but now he appears to stream as many patients through his doors as quickly as possible. Every other adjustment he gave me made no difference whatsoever, which is disappointing, since a ten-minute appointment costs $50. Dr. Egan also insists on taking an excessive number of full spinal x-rays, thereby exposing patients to unnecessary levels of radiation. I cannot say he's a bad chiropractor, since, other than the excessive radiation exposure, I wasn't harmed under Dr. Egan's care; but I saw no evidence that I was helped either, nor did he do much to help equip me to move from passive treatment (adjustments) to active treatment (self-care). This problem may be related to Dr. Egan seeming too busy to explain much to patients about their physical problems. Perhaps this rush is one reason why he comes off as authoritarian. Additional note: Dr. Egan issues yearly contracts/agreements with patients.
