Ryan Pryor is a great nurse practitioner to see for transgender related hormone replacement therapy. His demeanor is empathetic for the most part--bearing in mind we all have our frustrating days. With basic primary care and trans HRT related matters, he strikes a good balance between actively *doctoring* and letting the patient be the leader of their own care. His personal interest and investment in the subject of trans hormone therapy is obvious, and he listens to his patients personalized needs. He is very sensitive to the needs of non binary people and though it can be slightly awkward he is very careful and asks very explicit consent before conducting any physical exams of any kind.

That said, if you have chronic illnesses that need primary management by your primary care provider, I would recommend someone else. His interest definitely lies largely in trans health care and I think it's also more fair to those who are trying to start HRT that they be able to access his care.
