I have had two successful bunion correction (Scarf Akin Osteotomy) surgeries by Mr Callahan, and I would highly recommend him to anyone considering this procedure.

At 22, I understood undergoing and recovering from foot surgery would be a journey. Mr Callahan was always clear and considerate when explaining information and I thank him for the positive experience I have had with both procedures.
I no longer experience pain or discomfort and the stability of my feet has been improved significantly. Thank you, Mr Callahan.

Dr Callahan is a brilliant surgeon. I would highly recommend him, for his skill, but also for his approachable and caring manner.. I am very pleased with the results of my bunion surgery, and the post op care I received.

Miles Callahan performed surgery on both my feet, it was particularly difficult for him because another surgeon had previously operated unsuccessfully, leaving my feet in a painful mess.
Mr Callahan said he could certainly help me and performed brilliantly and I am now pain free and at 70 dancing rock n roll just like I hoped.
I am so happy and grateful to Miles.

I had bilateral bunion surgery. All went as per website. No pain. Sandals were excellent. Bandages were removed 9 days later. One foot was not as trim as the the other but certainly better than it was. This was not mentioned when the bandages were removed which was disappointing. Post surgery information was difficult to obtain. I had to call constantly. I had a phone consult with Mr Callahan, following X-rays at 6 weeks. He suggested that if I wanted I could have further X-Rays at 8 weeks. and another phone consult. As I am in Qld and flew to Hobart for surgery this was very reassuring. However, when I sent through some photos and concerns, this was retracted. It was suggested that his secretary would squeeze me in if I returned to Hobart or he would provide a referral to another surgeon in Cairns. Not sure what to think. The ability to source post surgery rehabilitation is worrying. I was very unsure how to optimize my recovery.

Dr Callahan fixed my complex heal fracture a year ago and now there is good function and range of movement. Much better than I was expecting given horror stories I was reading on the internet while I was recovering. Would recommend for foot surgery
