Dr. Duterte saw my husband. Colonoscopy went fine. Abnormal findings noted as we had results via Quest. If your insurance doesn’t pay in full you must pay every penny before you will be seen and treated. This is told to you in front of the entire waiting room as they tell you to pay $300+ (not telling you this before you arrive so you’re not prepared) or you cannot be seen and treated. I would NEVER go back here or recommend this office. We already paid this office almost $1000 and then could not be seen to be treated for abnormal findings since we couldn’t pay another $300+ on day of appointment (that we were not told would be due in advance). I understand providers must be paid for services but it is essential when reminding patients of appointment times in advance to also let them know what amount of money is expected to be paid before being seen as well. And to withhold care if someone can’t pay you an additional $300+ When they have already been shown to pay over $1000 is is sad.

Very unprofessional doctor and very unfriendly staff. He should shut down his practice.

I do not sign blank privacy policies where the doctor's staff will "fill in who my records go to later", and when I told the receptionist that I was declining to sign the form she made a big deal about it and was quite rude. Although I had a 10:00AM appointment, I wasn't seen until after 11:30. When the doctor came into the exam room, he not only didn't apologize, he made no acknowledgement at all of his lateness. When I asked him about it, he says he always runs that late, stating "it's the way I practice medicine". While the idea that he "spends as much time as he needs to with each patient", sounds like if he knows he's always several hours late to appointments, he needs to modify his scheduling and book fewer patients. The office was actually dirty: dirt and dust build-up on the baseboards was very thick, various splatters, stains and dirty smudges on the doors and walls in the bathroom, etc. Looks like their cleaning crew only vacuums and dumps the trash, nothing else.
