Condescending and made me feel uncomfortable during the transfer process. Much more hands on than I felt he needed to be. Would recommend you seek a female doctor after this experience.

Dr Adair is wonderful. He is experienced, progressive, has an excellent bedside manner and takes a very individualised approach with his patients. I have noticed that many of the negative reviews are from patients who have seen Dr Adair for fertility assistance. I can only imagine how disappointing it must be to have an unsuccessful experience with IVF and/or have ongoing fertility issues. However, I think these reviewers need to reflect on what is out the control of medical specialists and avoid projecting their disappointment on these individuals.

In my specific case, Dr Adair carefully considered my medical history and my future goals, and tailored his approach to best suit me at this time in my life. I've also previously had Dr Adair as the relieving OB-GYN during my first pregnancy and was very happy with my interactions with him.

My advice would be to take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. Highly recommend Dr Adair.

I have found Dr Adair a great gyno. I was having mood swings, hot flushes related to Menopause.

He has a great sense of humour which appealed to and I felt comfortable and confident about his treatment. When the meds weren’t helping the mood swings in the follow up session he gave it to me for free due to my circumstances and that the treatment had not managed all the symptoms.

Eventually I was diagnosed by a psychiatrist with a mood disorder. He showed empathy and real concern for my welfare. On the second follow up again I received this for free.

I know other reviews have been scathing from an IVF perspective so I can’t comment on that.

In summary, I found him knowledgeable, able to incorporate his treatment plan into my mental health recovery. Highly recommend him and his staff.

First thing this ‘doctor’ Adair said to me, is that he assumed my BMI was too high for IVF. I wasn’t even in the appointment for IVF. I wanted baseline fertility testing. He didn’t even weigh me! He didn’t ask me what I wanted out the appointment and I find that his ‘research’ is very outdated.

I waited 3 months to see this doctor. I waited over an hour past my appointment time.

He rambled in about chromosomes testing and doing a hysterscope, which was not clinically Indicated at all. I have had no abnormalities to indicate him looking in my uterus!!

He didn’t want baseline bloods, he didn’t order a ultrasound, why would I go in for an invasive procedure without the basics???
I had told him I had an ultrasound within the last year- he didn’t bother to look that up, nor look up bloods;

I had been referred to him because I had troubles holding onto a pregnancy, and he uses the word ‘supposedly’ when referring to my positive pregnancy tests.

I left feeling shamed that my BMI was too high to be deserving of any forms of basic compassion and testing. I am in the medical field myself and his language is horrible.

I left with a blood form go check for chromosomes and to rebook in 3 months time. I have promptly cancelled the appointment and booked in with a female specialist instead.

Don’t waste your money or your time

I beg you, please don't waste your time and literally tens of thousands of dollars like I did. And if you enjoy being called a GIRL (even though you are a woman in your 30s undergoing IVF) then maybe you'll enjoy Dr Adair's company. I was desperate for a baby and he exploited me. When I finally changed to a different OBGYN she could not say anything at all about Dr Adair. Nothing. Complete silence. She told me she could not say anything. That speaks volumes, don't you think??? Please, give him a miss. :-(

I can not recommend Steven enough! He is client focused, a great communicator, respectful, considerate, knowledgeable, down to earth & an all round great guy! Steven was the 3rd OBGYN I’d seen & he was the one I connected with the most! From IVF transfers to falling pregnant naturally and being a patient throughout my pregnancy! I couldn’t of asked for better care! The entire experience was wonderful down to the C-Section and after care! I owe this man a lot! You are amazing Steve and Myself & Liam are forever grateful for your support and care!

He should be criminally prosecuted. He provides intentially misleading information regarding medication that can lead to terratogenic impact on your fertility.

This guy is down to earth & no nonsense. Clear & informative, explains what he’s doing & what will happen next. Great support staff at TCH too. Very happy with this doctor & the testing/treatment I have received from him. Thankyou for the straightforward & caring experience.
