I was referred to Dr. Hu by my primary dr. for evaluation of elevated Prolactin level. I have been dealing with an ongoing health problem for over 2 years and Endocrinology was the only thing that hadn't been investigated. My primary Dr wanted to get it checked out before sending me to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr Hu seemed to recognize that it wasn't a true endocrine issue, but rather more likely a cardiac/infectious disease issue. Rechecked my Prolactin levels at the correct timing (it supposed to be drawn 3-4 hours after waking) and they are fine.

I did not feel that she had a good grasp of what was going on with my thyroid. Her bedside manner was poor. I did not feel confident with her at all.

She had no bedside manner, and she refuted everything that the referring doctor was fairly certain about. She wanted to measure my armspan with a 12 inch ruler edge to edge.
