Very nice tall doctor. Always pleasant and his medical assistant is wonderful. I don't know what the other guys posting here are talking about and how in the world you can feel pain if you are paralyzed, however he is great!

I also used private insurance. I would not recommend Moody to anyone. He operated on my mom 5 times and now she is still in pain. He will not see her anymore. He says there is nothing more he can do. The staff is hateful to her when she does call. If he would have seen her again he would have seen that two rods(that he put in) in her back are broken in half. That is why she is in pain!! Her fusion is not healed(he said it was) and it cause her spine to move and broke the rods. She is having surgery once again but in Charlotte this time! Moody does not deserve to be called a doctor. He is a **** and an insensitive jerk. He will get what is coming to him. God will see to that. He will be in pain one day and no one will help him!!!

Dr. Moody performed a Lumbar Microdiskectomy on the L4-5 for a herniated disk, the surgery went well but his only response to my question about why am I still having so much pain was,"I removed alot of disk, you are going to have pain." I lost my job before I was released from his care which his PA did release me and I kept asking but how can I still have this much pain? His PA says that I'm able to do office work. I am now applying for help for another surgery; this time to remove the very same disk that Dr. Mood supposedly fixed. I think he didn't take my concerns for my physicial ability seriously and dropped me like a hot potatoe when I lost my job and insurance and showed no remorse only wants payment for botched surgery. Sad when physicians are blinded by dollar signs instead of the reason they took the oath to help others in the beginning. Money clouds judgement what a shame.

Mark Moody Is A man that i do not consider to be a very professional Surgeon i would not let him operate on my Dog... I was scheduled for major spine surgery, i call the doctor to request medicine for pain relief. i am told by him that i am crazy for wanting pain relief and need a psychiatrist not a surgeon... He doesnt know me.. only took 9 minutes total to visit with me and has no right to judge his patient without even knowing them.. he drops me from his practice and provides no solution... I still need spine surgery and have no doctor to do so at this time. Quotation from Dr moody Himself "Yes you need surgery, Im not doing it! If i were to do the surgery, you would end up worse" DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!

Cliped an artery in the back of my neck while doing surgery on a disk in my neck. He packed jell against my spinal cord and paralized me from the neck down. Then said he had done nothing wrong. I am in constant pain.

A friend of mine went to Dr.Moody and he done surgery on her back. She is an elderly lady. When she woke up from the anestheia she had no control over her bladder. All he told her was that her bladder didn't wake up after the surgery. She had to wear a catheter for awhile, because she lost all contol of her bladder, and now she has to do what they call and in and out catheter every couple of hours or so. To drain her bladder. And now on top of that she has started to loose control of her bowels. And I know of several more people that was worse after he done surgery on them than they were before he done the surgery. They have gone to other orthapedic surgeons to get another opinion after the surgery, and the other doctors told them that their problems were because of problems that happened in surgery.

My husband went to him for back surgery, found him very knowledgable, but not forthcoming with info, you have to know what to ask and we didn't know much...nevertheless, surgery and follow-up has been successful.
