Wow.. Where to begin.. After finally getting an appt with him, he decides to have his grade school assistant to see me instead.. The next visit, I waited an hr and half, then he walks over to me, while he's on the phone discussing his lunch date, informs me that their computer can't read the MRI... Without even discussing my options he walks me to the from desk where I'm asked to pay $315!!! I was self pay at the time... I paid it and left in tears!!! I wa alrdy schedules for steroid injections so I went back, even tho I had a bad feeling abt it.. Sure enough there was a waiting room full of next in line "pin cushions" being herding in one after the other.. When it was my turn, he rushed me in, and proceeded to see how many countless times he could stick needles into my back, while talking with his assistant, as if I weeenr even there!! When his hand was too tired to poke needles into my back anymore, he was like you're finished.. Go to checkout... I was literally in a cold sweat abt to faint... I was in so much pain for sever days.. Almost unbearable So $2,000 to this crook and all I got was more pain and a very bad distaste for this so called dr!!! I have to hand it to him he's pretty good at being a ripoff and gtn away with it!!! He has no feelings, he's a money hungry not at all helpful dr Plz save your time and money and the pain and disappointment of having the displeasure of going to "Dr" Moody I can't aay enough bad comments abt him!!!!

My mom was operated on by Mark moody in 98 due to car wreck . Her back was broken and she laid in pain for hours . He agreed to do the operation for a huge amount of her settlement. Mark moody used steel bars which one broke and she lived in constant pain. My 73 year old mom went back to doctor moody and he explained her x rays and a plan to clear her bone spurs and use a titanium box to hold vertebra in place. He said that the operation would not be as long as the first and she would be able walk and enjoy her life . NOV 5th 2014 mom was admitted to mission for operation . at 7: 30 am she checked in and he delayed it until after lunch . Two hours after he took mom into surgery his assistant came out said they were complacations. He did not say what those complacations were. Around 11 30 pm mark moody comes out said he cut mom's lung and needed to call lung surgery in , mom had lost a lot of blood, and he could not use the titanium box ,so he had to change the plan because the titanium and steel bars would not work and react like a radio and would light mom up. Additionally ,he went against his team and after mom's lung clasped, a chest tube put in and mom incubated he decided to finish her back operation. Now mom' s not seen mark moody, her back brace was not fitted correctly , and she was treated so badly . Mom still has to use oxygen and moody staff calls mom's house to leave messages when mom is still fighting for her life.

Sometimes you have to wonder why a surgeon uses certain products. I don't trust Dr. Moody's judgement on my spine surgery anymore....

I am posting a review of dr. moody and his steroid epidural injections. I had my first steroid epidural on 7/1/13. I was told that I should expect to be in the office for an hour. My total procedure took no more than 90 seconds. The procedure was quite painful and I watched as there was a virtual carousel of people getting the same injections. dr. moody would walk through the waiting area about every 5 minutes with a different patient, just moving them through like cattle. moody does not care for the well being or piece of mind of his patients. He is the absolute worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been getting steriodal epidurals in my spine for years. In Rock Hill SC and Midlothian VA and never had pain during the procedure. However, I went to Dr Moody for my consultation when I moved back to NC. I was not impressed with him at that time. He spent about 3 minutes with me. Then when I went to the clinic for the actual procedure he was moving people in and out like cattle. My procedure hurt so bad, which it never has before, but he would not stop or even give me more numbing meds. He just kept talking to his assitant about a car he was having restored. Completely ignoring me and my pain. He just kept jabbing in the needles. When he was done he took me to the check out and that was it. I have always had to wait for 15 minutes after the procedure to make sure I was ok. He does not care if you are ok and just lets you go. I had been warned that his nickname is "The ****".I now believe it. I will travel back to Rock Hill SC from now on, 2 hours from my home. But worth it!!!

Dr. Moody is a patient listener and good at answering questions thoroughly. He is not interested in unnecessary surgery. He has a good bedside manner - more what you would expect from a family doctor than a surgeon. My one complaint is that I regularly wait 2 hours or more in the waiting room. For a spine clinic, they should be more considerate of leaving people in pain waiting for an inordinate amount of time in an uncomfortable chair. i understand that there are sometimes emergencies that make doctors run late, but over-scheduling seems to be the policy. i once arrive at 1pm and after waiting for 90 minutes was told that my ACTUAL appt time was 3pm - they just wanted me there early to make sure they could run on time when they got to me.
