Excellent care. He will be missed on the island. He was an incredible family doctor.

I met with Dr Butcher and after describing my symptoms, he suggested a scope to investigate. The scope was done without anesthetic, which was a horrible experience in itself. Part way through the procedure, the Doctor told his students "that is what I was expecting". AT no time during our prior consultation did he suggest he had an idea of the cause of my symptoms and instead jumped to suggesting a scope. After the scope, he prescribed medications that were not previously required.
I felt violated and used as a learning example for his students.
On top of that, I experienced new symptoms as a result of the scope for the next month.

Doctor Butcher appears to prefer non invasive procedures instead of a more indepth consult.

Dr. Butcher is one of the best GPs I have ever had. He is patient, kind, and caring. He sometimes has student doctors observing him, which seems like a wonderful way to help teach the next generation of doctors. Dr. Butcher is a 'no fuss' type of guy, and is involved in the arts community here on the island. I would definitely recommend him!
