I saw Dr. Mayo in 2012 and found that she cared more about the money than the patient. She rushed through the exam, didn't ask me any questions even though I was having a lot of difficulty seeing. I have vision problems but she didn't care. She wrote a prescription and I paid for the appointment but I found another optometrist. The optometrist I found (and still see) was shocked at what she prescribed and said it shouldn't have been prescribed, that if a proper examination had been done and if she had listened to me, the correct (and stronger) prescription would have been written. I can now see clearly. It's great that people find her to be helpful but I believe these are people with minor problems - if you have any concerns, don't go to her!

I was pretty let down after having her recommended. But she sold me 175$ of eye lid hygienic products ....... none of which worked. I think she's seriously ripping people off.

I was very disappointed with this Doctor and will be not revisiting. I found her to be abrasive,talked too much without listening to your concerns. I found her to be a one appointment type of Doctor and did not appreciate having to call her back. I did find another Doctor who did find an appropriate solution to my problem. I had left my doctor after many years because she was highly recommended but to my disappointment I felt rushed and pushed through. I know she is running a business that should be supportive of her patients but the business side came through loud and clear vs the level of patient care.

We've had fabulous experience with DR. Mayo, both myself, my husband, and our two children. I highly recommend her and have advised several friends to switch to her, which they have and also love her.

My 2 children, 3 and 5, along with myself had eye exams completed recently by Dr. Mayo. I was very pleased with her expertise and exceptional skill while working with children. Both of my children were naturally hesitant seeing an optometrist for the first time. She made then feel comfortable and at ease the entire exam. She took the time to explain each test and the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Mayo to both adults and children.

Dr. Mayo is horrible at communicating with patients. She is very sharp-tongued and can be offensive. She speaks far too fast to understand. She rushes through the eye exam and does not give the patient a chance to even get settled, which is crucial in obtaining accurate results. She seems to guess at what a patients prescription might be, and even forces her opinion. She told me that I "should" be able to see through lens A vs. lens B, and did not even give me a chance to choose which one felt better to me. Dr. Mayo gave me an incorrect prescription that was too strong, and when I went back to get my eyes re-tested a few weeks later, my prescription had changed considerably! I am now wearing another prescription that doesn't feel right, since she did not take the time during the second exam to set me up with a proper prescription. I must now go to another optometrist to get a second opinion since Dr. Mayo's prescription has changed so much. I would not recommend anyone to see her.
