I saw Dr. Can Umm a few months ago. He was very through! His team did comprehensive assessment and treatment plan. He preformed tests and was willing to learn about and treat a condition not common in his practice. His staff were lovely and he does phone call follow ups. He was also kind and had a lovely bedside manner which is an enormous plus .

Dr. Van Uum knows his stuff. He found a way to balance my medications without putting me through a lot of trial and error. His office is easy to contact and not what you’d expect for such a well-known specialist in his field.

Dr. Van Uum is a great doctor. He revived my vision, a very important part of my life. My sodium level was too low and Dr. Van Uum treated it successfully, brought my Sodium level back to normal. He really cares about the patients by giving them virtual follow up appointments if they live far away from his office.

After a very scary diagnosis of a aortic heart direction and placed in CCU for many weeks. All the doctors and interns all treated me like I was unconcious on a ventilator. Dr. Van Uum was the only doctor who treated me with dignity, respect and like a human being. His bed side manner is a 5 out of 5, he is what every doctor should be. He took control of my situation as the others struggled what to do to keep me alive. He screened my blood until there was cgecked for everything. for Alhough he did not find anything I believe his courage to stand up and take control undoubly saved my live. I have seen many a doctor in my 45 years, but this man is on another level. Dr. Van Uum, your a legend. Thank you for saving my live!!

Dr. Van Uum new what was wrong right away and arranged regular blood work, MRIs, eye tests and c scans. He monitors my test results and adjusts my meds promptly. I don’t know what the future holds but I feel that everything that could be done is. Surgery may be necessary but he will exhaust all other avenues first. Lucky to have him. Now we must get him to practice in Sarnia!!

I’m so happy to continue with in person appointments. Dr van uum is very knowledgeable. I don’t need a comic, I need someone who understands my condition and what my tests reveal. I am happy to be his patient. He’s got my meds on track.

Initially he was absolutely wonderful. He listened and grounded me in a stressful time. When I had the thyroid ablation (turns out I never needed it— no fault of his own) he was still responsive to questions. He then put me on levothyroxin and I became extremely ill. He adjusted my dose but I continued to gain huge amounts of weight, my hair fell out in clumps, my nails stopped growing and I stopped menstruating, he just kept telling me it was normal and I’d adjust; six months in I added heart palpitations to that list. I called yet again to say now I was having heart issues (29-year-old female, 6’0”, 155 pounds, exercise fanatic) he refused to respond at all. After repeat calls with no response Agnes informed me I’d been discharged as his patient. My pharmacist and I figured out what was happening and I discontinued all meds and slowly healed. He doesn’t like to be questions and has zero issue risking your health for his ego. Hard pass— the initial kindness was not worth, at my worst, near death.

Very kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable…he has been my endocrinologist since 2013…knows how to deal with my rare genetic endocrine disorder. He goes out of his way to allow me to have most of my required CT scans, MRI’s and ultrasounds in a nearby hospital rather than having to travel to London.
He has continued to help guide me in my recent diagnosis of diabetes and has been great at helping to determine the best medication for me.

I asked to see Dr. Van Uum specifically for my issue of the thyroid because he specializes in this area. Other Endocrinologists specialize in diabetes ... At first he would not see me because I was not in the area. When I explained I only wanted a consult , t hey said that was okay for a one time consult and I never heard back from them. I find this very sad especially during this very difficult pandemic time. All I wanted was a phone call and I did not even have to go to London. It makes me think more about my own personal obligation when asked for help.
