My husband came in as a Trauma patient. He had bilateral ankle and calcaneus fractures, a shattered left pelvis, and a left elbow compound fracture. My husband currently was a PA resident and had no insurance. I was able to get him PA state medicaid to help with the visits. After receiving his pelvic surgery he ended up with compartment syndrome and had to have emergency surgery 2days in a row (something that should have been caught when the pelvic surgery was done). 8 months in he was told that he had to have surgery again to have the hardware that was put into his right foot removed because it dropped and didn't stay in place. So we where scheduled for surgery that should of fell under continuity of care 9 months later from his original surgery date only to find out the day before surgery that because his PA medicaid wouldn't pay NO SURGERY. They referred us to a surgeon in PA with horrible reviews. So all this to say that his work was never completed. My husband is still in pain..
