I've been with Dr. Callaghan for many years, and as others state, there has been a significant decline in performance. The 'front' staff is indeed quite unpleasant and making an appointment is a series of holds, rushed and impatient snaps and sighs. Very unprofessional office staff. His nurses are good and Jim Kelly is very capable and thorough. The practice overall lacks cohesion, does a poor job scheduling, and gives the impression of being beyond stretched their means in terms of addressing their jobs. You will wait long periods 30+ minutes in the checkup-rooms. Don't expect to be treated as a human being by the staff, you will get better treatment in a line at McDonalds.

Dr. Callaghan has been my primary care provider for over 15 years, and I had always felt very comfortable with him and the staff was always friendly. I recently had a medical issue, so I called to make an appointment with the doctor. I was told he was booked for the day but I could see the nurse practitioner, Jim Kelly, if I wanted to - and of course I said yes. I did not expect to feel so uncomfortable during my visit. Both the nurse who took my vitals and Jim Kelly made comments toward me that made me feel as if I was being mocked, and the nurse even shared with me financial information regarding how much a recent office renovation & new computers cost. I find it very disturbing and quite unprofessional that such comments would be made in a setting where patients are already not feeling well. I felt so uncomfortable after this recent visit and sadly, I'll be looking for a new primary care provider.

I have seen this doctor for years and was very enthusiastic from the start. I posted a very positive comment and rating on a different site at the time. I was particularly pleased when he called me at home to check on a possible prescription error. There was none. Over the years I too have developed some of the same concerns as the negative reviewers, but chalked it up to problems in the medical system. I found Jessica especially friendly and helpful. When the entire office staff changed this year I found it impossible to get the smallest problems resolved. Calls were not returned, and I was told things that made no sense. I finally made an appointment, and the doctor repeated the information I was given by his staff. Fortunately, by complete coincidence, I ended up with very different information a few days later, and then double checked with my provider. I have no idea what is going on in this practice, but I learned that my trust and loyalty were misplaced. Disturbing!

I don't know who these disgruntled patients are, but Dr. Callaghan and his staff are very caring and wonderful people. Every Doctor I've been to NEVER runs on time. Dr. Callaghan takes his time with his patients to determine the right diagnosis and treatment. If you want to be treated like just another face going through a revolving door, stay away. I don't know why some of you think the front desk women are rude, they are always smiling with pleasant manners.

OMG- the office staff at the front desk is horrible. Robin who states she "runs the office" is rude, arrogant, and more interested in talking to her boyfriend than to helping patients. she is no way a "medical person" --- no compassion. bad experience

Very sincere and caring doctor. His PA Jim Kelly is also very good. I feel that this practice has grown too quickly and that Dr. Callaghan is overwhelmed. Robin at the front desk is miserable and condescending and this will eventually bite them in the a**. She has screwed up by not following through on many occasions and apparantly there is no way to back check her so she continues to keep her job and cover her tracks. This is not just my opinion but also that from other doctor's staff.(I am in the medical field) It's a shame they don't have better support staff because they really are good at the medicine part of things.

I love this Dr. He is the nicest Dr. I have ever had.... I had never had to wait longer than 15 minutes and i have waited longer at other Doctors. He is very accomodating. His office staff is a bit edgy but he is great. i would not leave a great Dr. because of his office staff

I've looked at the comments on this board and wonder if I am seeing the same doctor. Great guy and knowledgeable MD. Very patient and I've never had a problem with his staff. My wait is no longer then what I've experienced in other doctor's offices. I must go on the right days. I've been going to Doctor Callaghan for 12 years and don't have a single complaint.
