I was referred to Dr. Elkurbo for knee issues after seeing my family doctor and physiotherapist. I was wary at first having seen some of the negative ratings that he seemed to have. My first meeting with him seemed a bit rushed, but he quickly and acurately diagnosed a torn miniscus and proceeded with scheduling more tests including an MRI to confirm. During a follow-up, he confirmed his diagnosis, took time to show me the results and scheduled a surgery. He was very pleasant and reassuring the day of the operation and went through all the steps of the operation once again. My rehabilitation took a bit longer than planned (more of a result of me not abiding to the exercise and physio regiment prescribed than any wrongdoing on his part!) but during each follow-up appointment he was always pleasant, if not straight to the point. I can see how some people may find him dismissive...but in reality, he is very competent, thorough and professional. I don't expect the bedside manner of a pediatrician from a specialized surgeon, but I do expect the surgeon to be experienced, knowledgeable, competent and thorough. I expect to be informed accurately with all necessary information to better understand my condition to be able to make informed decision regarding my health. For all these criterias, Dr. Elkurbo checks all the boxes and I would highly recommend him for any orthopedic care. (P.S. I have a good friend that works at the hospital, and he confirmed that there is no better qualified orthopedic surgeon than Dr. Elkurbo).

Having knee problems, I saw my doctor 1 day after i called and had x-rays done same day. This all took place 1 week before Xmas. One week into January I called Dr. Elkurbos office and they managed to squeeze me in the following week for a visit. He had many patients that day, the whole Elkurbo team was attentive and caring. He operated on my shoulder about 2 years ago and it has never felt better and if surgery is needed for my knee I trust him and his team completely.

Dr. Elkburo performed a total hip replacement for me on June 15th. Saw him three weeks later for checkup and then at the eight week mark. I must admit I had a tough recovery fir the first five weeks but am seeing improvement now. He was excellent as a surgeon and excellent on follow ups. I give him a 10 star out of a 5 star rating. Can not say enough for his friendliness and manners. Thank you Dr. Elkburo👍👍

He operated my Dad quite a few times , two knee surgeries, first knee opened quite a few times since bacteria went in it . After 10 years of my Dad suffering , Dr El Kurbo decided to remove the knee for 6 months to heal and remove all the bacterai once and for all. My Dad went through hell , but i can finnaly say , it was a success and he is now reliving . Dr El Kurbo is not very talkative, very busy man and to me the best one out there . My father has is life back thanks to Dr El Kurbo that never gave up . i will be eternally grateful for his care .

Callous, arrogant and insulting manner. Did not make the referral for an MRI as promised, and for which he insisted on a painful assessment which didn't tell him anything anyway.
