Straight to the point and honest. He really cares about his patients and how they are doing.

While Dr. Petty is no bedside cheerleader, he takes his profession very seriously. He doesn't waste your time and shoots straight from the hip. He tells you what the problem is and what needs to be done to correct it. He shares his opinions of what lifestyle changes you should make. I felt complete comfort by his knowledge and will seek his help again. Having been around numerous cardiologist in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas in my profession, I have to say he is my first choice. I have referred family and friends to him without hesitation. He has had my business in the past and will again should the need arise. No regrets here! Thanks Dr. Petty!

Arrogant and condescending. Argued with a nurse over paper work while I was on operating table with I.V. in arm for a diagnostic test. Did not want to see me for a follow up visit to explain options, treatment, etc. Initally told me my heart defect was not repairable. This is incorrect. Had the repair by another surgeon. I would not recommend this physician
