I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy due to my mitral valve prolapse and regurgitation. This doctor told me a virus caused it and it was for sure not due to my mitral valve issue. As my CHF symptoms got worse his only advice was to stay on my current medication. I knew that i needed way more than , cause i felt myself getting worse.I signed off on him ,then went to another clinic and was told i needed a pacemaker. That option was never ever brought up by this doctor and i was told since i was young i would probably get better. When i was not getting better after at least 8 months meds were all he offered. My symptoms were ignored. All i can say is ALWAYS get a 2nd opinion.
