I had a hysterectomy done by Dr. Nongauza on July 11 , 2018. During the surgery in which I had ovaries, uterus, cervix, and lymph nodes removed, Dr. Nongauza severed numerous blood vessels, both intestines, and my bladder. I had 19 units of blood and was flown to Regina even though my husband requested Saskatoon where I had family he could stay with. I was in Regina hospital for 4 weeks. I had a catheter for 3 weeks and had two ostemy bags for 6 weeks. I ended up in saskatoon hospital for another ten days and finally began to heal. I was ambulanced twice from Swift current with life threatening circumstances. It was a miracle that i survived.

He nearly killed me! And stated nothing went wrong on his report. He cut my bladder, my bowel, and sewed my ureters shut during an ovary removal and left me with everything leaking inside. Was rushed to stoon now I have a colostomy bag.

Dr Nongauza dismissed symptoms during my twin pregnancy, which turned out to be preeclampsia; I lost my sight and speech immediately after delivery and had issues with kidney & liver function, and complications for months after delivery all due to extremely high blood pressure. Was taken to the ER in the weeks following delivery, where it was discovered placenta had been left behind after the cesarean and caused a serious infection.
Dr Nongauza would not provide me or my family with any information about my medical issues while in hospital for my twins' birth and I did not find out I had preeclampsia until six months after delivery when I pressed him for answers about my health. Was such a terrible experience.

Although this comment is a few weeks past the date of the extremely stressful incident which occurred, I felt waiting for official test results before commenting was very important. My Mom, who has always been a very strong active woman went through a terrible medical emergency. She was initially under the care of Dr. Nongauza in Swift Current. My Mother was experiencing pain a level which made her barely able to move. It was determined she had a mass on one of her ovaries. The rest of my family was with her and trying all they could to bring her any level of comfort. I live in Alberta and was in the first few days only able to be kept up to speed by phone. After calling my Mom while she was in the hospital she let me know the terrible news, that Dr. Nongauza had let her know, while she was alone without any support systems, that she did indeed have a tumor on her ovary which was cancer. He asked HER to arrange a family meeting to discuss options. My Dad, Brother and Sister in law were able to be at a meeting the next day and I was on speaker phone. Again he mentioned cancer and cautioned my Mom if she had anything to tell family to do so, also enquired if she would like a Religious member there for her to talk to. As a family unit we were shocked with the news and crushed to try to accept that Mom was now fighting cancer. Mom was able to be transferred to a Saskatoon hospital where she went into emergency surgery and a huge tumor was removed. My facts were discovered, my Mom was actually bleeding to death, this massive tumor was bleeding excessively due to tearing internally. My Mom went through the surgery and every day took tremendous strides in her recovery. When she was released from the Saskatoon hospital she got home and had a letter from the Swift Current hospital letting her know that she was going to be going to be going to Saskatoon in a few weeks to have the mass on her ovary removed. To late... Already done. And we now have the wonderful news that the tumor was not cancer and Dr. Nongauza had made that diagnosis of a picture on a CT scan. I do not understand how anyone would be told they have cancer when they are alone, or for the patient to be in charge of putting together a family meeting, all for nothing. This man created extreme distress in our family and due to his negligence, my Mom came very close to bleeding to death in the Swift Current hospital. We never would have lost Mom because of cancer, but because of inadequate ability of this doctor and I only hope others approach with extreme caution.
