Dr. kettlewell performed an aggressive and unnecessary treatment on my 7-year-old son by placing a crown (porcelain) for a small chip on his permanent tooth. There was no nerve damage (Per Kettlewell) or pain and sensitivity. He treated the situation with urgency and proceeded with treatment that day. Unfortunately (found out too late) by talking with other dentists, porcelain crowns should never be placed on a child's permanent tooth with a small chip. The standard of care is to preserve healthy tooth structure when questioned about his treatment; Kettlewell became aggressive and abusive and refused to complete treatment. He also refused to comply with requests for copies of records and x-rays. He padded the bill with procedures that should never be performed on a child, according to other dentists that reviewed a copy of my bill. With my experience and ordeal, I would not recommend the Services of Dr. Kettlewell.
