He's an Superior individual. Just communicating with him shows the multi faceted layering of his thinking. I have first hand experience of how he handled an intricate problem with my family member and how he worked through all the possibilities and how he rules them out one by one. Problem solved and vision great. Unbelievable human being. Spectacular physician. We sought him out because a friend suggested that he was not refusing people unvaccinated as many others were in the area. At the time everyone wore masks all the protocols were followed. We felt very safe there. The office is immaculate.

In medicine I think you get what you give. When I go to the eye doctors office and all my doctors for that matter I bring a list of questions and a friend that usually helps me with everything that I need. With Dr Wallshein I'm always a little bit embarrassed to bring all my questions because there's usually about 20 to 25. Each time he says no let's go through them one by one and get them answered. I initially came to him for eye pain that four other doctors in the surrounding area could not figure out nor effectively treat. My internist recommended this doctor and said look I'm going to give you a list of three but in the end this is the one to go to. I asked the internist secretary of the list of three which one do you recommend. She said they're all good but Wallshein is exceptional. If you have a problem he will find it. If he can't find it he will find someone who can find it. And very frankly if you don't think you have a problem and you do he will find it. This was such a stellar recommendation that I was not sure how to proceed so I asked one of my friends and she also goes there also. My problem is solved and my eyes feel great. We've been going there for about 5 years.

I have a dry eye condition that I've not been able to get help with. I have been to multiple academic centers and despite that have still had extreme discomfort and no significant relief. I called a medical company that produces dry eye treatment equipment and asks for someone in the Palm Beach area. They stated that Dr Wallshein is basically a renowned physician that is an expert in the dry eye care and is treated tens of thousands of people with a dry condition. After seeing him we spend some time talking about all the different treatments I had and I was a little bit upset to hear that he didn't recommend the way I was being treated by all the other physicians. I had asked him if he thought there was anything wrong and he said no but he felt like the way they were doing was not addressing the underlying problem. I had two treatments that were a bit expensive admittedly but in the end my eyes are at least 50% better and I can sleep at night without them getting stuck together. He's a top quality physician that really cares and I even had conference calls with him and conferences in his office that help me through the process. This guy knows what he's doing plain and simple

I started with this physician about 10 years ago. I was recommended by my primary care physician who used him. I also have about 40 other friends that use Dr. Wallshein. He performed cataract surgery on many of them. He also performed lid surgery on several. Dr. Wallshein is very caring and very ethical. We all love going to his practice and he's a good doctor. My vision after cataract surgery is 20/20 without glasses. I had no pain or discomfort from it. All of my friends had great outcomes as well. I had lid surgery with him as well and my lids look fantastic. Prior to surgery explained that I may get black and blue for up to 4 weeks. The usual is 2 weeks. I had it for about 10 days and a little swelling. I also was told that small scars could form around the sutures but I didn't get any. My friend had a few and were removed easily. Botox was explained helps keep the lids looking great for a much longer time than just the lids surgery itself. He's completely right. Anyone that hasn't had the Botox looks like they're the same a year later. Mine has been excellent for much longer. I read a review that was negative on here about lid surgery. The person is clueless. All you need to do is call the good doctor and he'll take care of everything. The office can get busy. Well that's because everyone wants to go to him. All the doctors in the area do and they send everyone.

Horrible experience. Dr Wallshein runs a medical factory. He is less concerned with your eye health than lining his own pockets.
He will over diagnose over prescribe extremely costly medications not covered by insurance and strongly recommend exorbitantly expensive uncovered by insurance procedures in his office for his profit.
He fails to provide a diagnosis or prognosis and places you in a state of fear.
This is a disgraceful practice.
I strongly recommend you avoid at all costs.
There are other compassionate ethical and professional Opthamologists available in the area.

I saw Dr Wallshein today for an eye examination. I had it done and after being seen by many other eye doctors he found my problem. My glands in my lids were blocked and caused a lot of styes and dryness. After having a procedure called lipiflow and drops my styes resolved and the dryness is 90 percent better. No other physician was able to fix the problem. I read the review below and the doctor gave me all the options which includes cutting into my lid and causing the glands to be lost forever, inject a steroid which can cause depigmenting the skin, Lipiflow, or hot compresses. I opted for the expensive option because it seemed to be the best. The doctor fully informed me of my options and let me choose. He's excellent and caring. The patient putting the comments in sounds ridiculous. So basically he gave you all the options and you chose what you did. Now you want your money back. Dr Wallshein had been with us for a very.long time and we are super happy with him. Our whole family is.

I saw Doctor Jay Wallshein last month for my dry eyes and a bump on my right eyelid, he said he will see me after the dry eye test is done. after the test was done he came to the room and said that i have a dry eye condition and the bump on my eyelid is because of blocked oil gland of my eye. he said that there are a few ways to take care of the condition, he start with explaining the procedures and how it is done including the side effects. At the end i was afraid to pick the procedures that they were covered by insurance due to their side effects. the he said there is another way of doing it and he recommend it but it is not covered by health insurance, and stupid me of course went with his recommendation and paid $950 for 12 minutes of warming up and message my eyelids( believe me the warm wash cloth that i put on my eyes is warmer than their machin . My eyes are still dry and the bump is still on my eyelid. please investigate the procedures on your own before you make your decision and pay for something that expensive, i think the machine is called LipiFlow . I am going to ask for my $950 to be reimbursed to my credit card. I believe I was put in a situation to pick this expensive option, the way he described the other options and their side effects got me afraid to even try one and have my BCBS(which i pay $650 per month ) pay for the cost.
