For such an experienced GP with a supposed focus on Women's Health, her treatment of my diabetic, elderly Mum (at Charlestown Medical Centre) was appalling. She was rude, dismissive and her communication style was very abrupt. The only reason we booked with Dr Brookes was to follow-up on a recommendation to obtain a prescription/referral for compression stockings ASAP - Mum's regular, caring, thorough and knowledgable GP was not available until mid-Feb 2023. So Dr Brookes was a possibility at short notice, to get assistance for my Mum who's diabetic health is compromised - whilst she's also caring for her 92 year-old Husband who's being treated for Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma! My advice - seek an alternative practitioner who treats patients (especially vulnerable, elderly persons!) with respect.

Please go elsewhere for antenatal care, her negligence could hurt you or your baby
