All the nice things said here about Dr Rodino is true. But her staff are the rudest. I thought the previous front desk person Christina was okay. The current receptionist( I think her name is Cathy, not sure) is the worst in everyway. The unfortunate thing is she is the link between doctor and the patient. It would be unfortunate if I have to switch doctor because of her.

Dr Rodino is amazing!! She monitored my diabetes during my pregnancy...she was attentive, answered calls, and even contacted me on the weekend to see how I was progressing. I will continue to see her after my pregnancy. She is very caring and concerned.

Christine, the front desk receptionist/nurse (I don't know her actual title) is mostly rude and you can tell she is bothered by having to take your call. Dr. Rodino is pretty much ok, nothing spectacular when it comes to bedside manner or feeling genuine concern from her - I agree with the other reviewer - she seems to come off as condescending at times. With new office staff she might be better. Or maybe she needs to hang it up - I think she has like 6 kids or something - she generally seems too tired to really care.

First of all, be aware that Dr. Rodino has stopped accepting health insurance. This means that her patients who aren't wealthy (such as myself) are forced to find a new Dr. Secondly, my experiences with Dr. Rodino were mixed. I found her to be fairly knowledgeable and thorough. She took lots time with me - not rushed. She was open to treating me with natural thyroid meds and basing my levels not just on test results but also on how I felt. Still, she is a traditional doctor, not a holistic one, so don't expect otherwise. At times she seemed a little bit condescending. But generally my impression of her is favorable. Her staff is rude and unfriendly and abrupt. Her hours are very limited. It takes FOREVER to get an appointment and god forbid you need to reschedule it... good luck! Doesn't matter that you're an existing patient, you still have to wait months. Additionally, the wait in the waiting room is excessive. I once waited 1.5 hours!!!!

I have been seeing her for many years for my thyoid issue. Up tp this point I had no issues but I also had no major problems other than needing armour. I recently received some scarey tests that I always ask to receive a copy at ome also. I called Wed. to ask what to do and to see if they received them also. It is now the following Tues. night and she has yet to call me back. I understand she is busy and has a big family but a call would be nice. I know I need a biopsy. Her nurse, Christine can't get off the phone fast enough. She told me Monday night that I wouldn't count on a phone call back and she is not in on Tuesday. What does someone do with that infromation except search for another Dr. What a shame, I think once you are in the door, she is great but nasty staff and not returning phone calls in unexceptable. This is not being a responsible Dr.

Nice pleasant personality, not a long wait, seems knowledgeable in her field and easy to talk to. Responds with tests results and call backs rather quickly.

Dr. Rodino is an exceptional doctor: extremely caring, knowledgeable, and is always available to respond to her patients. Although it can be a long wait for a first patient appointment, she is definitely worth the wait. Having experienced several other "top" endocrinologists, I can say that none of them compare to her. She is always right on the money with diagnosis and treatment.
