My Type 1 diabetic daughter went to see this crackpot, rude and arrogant GP today. He would not look her in the eye, he would not refer her to the Gold Coast Hospital Diabetes clinic and told her everything was in her head. Yep. A total tool. How this GP is still operating beats me especially considering the amount of complaints against him. Next time I will be attending the appt with her if she has to see this idiot again. Regardless, I am reporting him for negligence.

The level of misconduct displayed by Dr Wong is extremely concerning. Not sure how he still has his registration based off of the sheer number of complaints. He has been reported to AHPRA.

This Dr is dismissive, rude, and disrespectful and already has MANY complaints about him. After voicing my concerns I was dismissed by staff.

This Doctor needs to be disbarred from his practice. He is absolutely the rudest, self-centred & tick box appointment Doctor I have ever met. His behaviour was disgusting & not in lines with ‘Good Medical Practice Code of Conduct’ for all Doctors in Australia. I had hip & knee pain & he would only treat me for one issue. He said if I wanted both issues tended to I would have to pay. I don’t care about the money but I do care that Doc Wong is playing the system & trying to take more than he should by rudely telling me to have another appointment. Please be aware of this Doctor he needs to be disbarred immediately. I have written a complaint letter & will be forwarding this to Government.

I read these reviews and was very worried about my appointment with Dr. Wong; I was pleasantly surprised. He is very good at his job, is kind and has a great sense of humor, as a young woman he made me feel completely at ease and comfortable. He clearly explained procedures to me before commencing and gave me a clear plan post our appointment. Highly recommend.

A terrible doctor who seems to have a habit of being passive aggressive with his patients. His knowledge was terrible and refused to agree with any of my symptoms basically saying I made them up.. I have been in terrible pain, had lethargy and even been admitted to hospital as I have visible issues on my body which the doctors at the hospital sent me to get a referral for an ultrasound but instead I’m sent home on panadol by Dr Wong.. oh and he was late for his appointment too.

My family and I have been going to Max for over 20 years. We consider him and excellent Dr with a good sense of humour as well. Highly recommend him to anyone. 👍🏼

Shocked how rude Dr Max Wong was. I was on time for my appt and received phone messages from him abusing me for being late when I was waiting in reception. He didn't want to help me, threatened to charge me extra for wasting his time. All I wanted was a script repeat for my medication and I had 1 repeat left and this was my only day off to go to the doctors. Refused to help me and was going red in the face yelling at me to leave. I don't understand why he refused to help me, he had no explaination or any reasoning behind this but most important it was the way he was so angry and rude. Shocking!! Never experienced this in my life. I don't understand how someone so aggressive and rude is allowed to practise in our country. Who regulates this?
