Dr Mark Lorenzetti was my physician when I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the age of 18 years old. Whilst he is thorough in his diagnosis, he is also one of few specialists that takes the time to explain his diagnosis thoroughly and in a manner you will understand. When my condition led to numerous blood transfusions as the bleeding became unmanageable he referred me to a surgeon, Mr James Sweeney. Mr Sweeney was an impeccable surgeon and he took a holistic approach to my medical requirements. I was one of the first patients to have what is called a "j-loop colectomy" and his after care and management was also impeccable.
