Was my PCP since 2010, good doc but his office is run by beurocrats where money comes first not the patient. Will find a new PCP that actually cares about his patients.

No go...Will try to milk you for your visits . Sounds like some other patients may be fooled by "bedside manner". Consider your options with a PCP as you'll want one who does keep good notes which can be transferred if needed and actually listens to you...

Couldn't be bothered for a referral. Office is a bureaucratic mess and prime example of what is wrong with todays healthcare system. AVOID.

Excellent family doctor. Listens to problems and discusses options well. Will give thoughtful diagnosis and recommend specialists when necessary. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Sigmon for a potentially serious problem. I have a complex medical history (including RA), but unlike many primary care doctors, I thought he was thorough, competent, and had excellent bedside manner. He was nothing but gracious during my visit. Thanks to his intervention an emergency was averted. This is a busy practice, but thus far, the two physicians I’ve seen there are surprisingly good considering the general mediocrity of suburban doctors (I generally avoid physicians outside of downtown DC). (In response to the individual with RA: In my own experience you’d be wise to follow Dr. Sigmon’s advice re: the rheumatologist considering that a specialist would be better equipped to determine whether your heart issues are RA-related. If they are related, the rheumatologist can treat or refer you to a cardiologist that’s experienced working with RA patients.)

Very impersonal, arrogant and imperious. Attemted to force me to use a Rheumatologist as my main doctor even though my Rheumatoid Arthritis had been under control for over 10 years. In the past, my primary care physicians did bloodwork every three months and fowarded the results to my Rheumatologist. I then visited the Rheumatologist one a year. My other conditions, high-blood pressure and irregular heartbeats (atrial fibrillation), should have been of higher concern to him. At the time he tried to force me to see a Rheumatologist as my primary doctor, the only one in the plan was 20 miles away. I explained that to him, but he did not care. So, I had no choice but to fire him and choose another doctor.

Dr. Sigmon discovered an underlying health problem I have when my previous doctors did not. He is thorough and really listens to his patient's concerns. HIGHLY recommend.
