I went to the John Muir Perinatal office for my 3 month ultrasound on 12/9/08 and the technician was very nice ans helpful and was nice enough to print out extra pictures of the baby since my husband had to work out of the area and was not able to make the appointment with me. When Dr. Traynor came in to check out the images he was very polite and a little on the funny side. I think he could tell I was a little nervous since this was my first child. he was patient and calm and explained the images we were looking at very thoroughly. He was very considerate about my husband not being available to go with me (no smirk or attitude at all) and even printed out more pictures for my husband of our baby. the wait time was not bad at all considering i did have a full bladder! i even recieved a call from the office a few days later telling me the great results from the bloodwork. everyone was kind to me.

Dr. Traynor has been both abrupt (borderline rude) and insensitive on multiple occasions. Not exactly what one is expecting from a medical practioner. In addition, the visits often seem rushed ( liek were just some cattle call number squeezed in between patient 1 and 100) and lacking time for us to ask questions and get the answers we need. Office wait time exceeded over an hour for a scheduled appt. thus far at least three times. Unfortunately, if a patient wants to deliver at John Muir there is absolutely no other choice of perinatology practices - talk about a market monopoly and lack of incentive for Dr. Traynor and staff to change things around a bit. Patient orders for the doctor: Sensitivity and customer care training needed!!
