My Sister was referred to this doctor as she was experiencing severe weakness in her Legs. This was occurring for a few years. They ran all sorts of tests and came up with Nothing. She asked for family medical history and be because our Father was diagnosed with ataxia she told my sister that is what she had. It was unfortunate to even tell her that as she no longer wanted to do any further testing. She went for another opinion and the 2nd Neurologist told her it was all in her head and to maybe see a psychiatrist. Well Third doctor after just a few blood tests found she had ALS. With all the time spent at doctors and the severe amount of stress she incurred she Could have been easily diagnosed given all the symptoms early on and received the Proper care she deserved. Is this what our medical has come to in Canada.? Do not believe anything they tell you and you must be your own advocate. You know Your body. These doctors should be held accountable. .
